See, I understand the whole men are visual creatures, that’s fine, but it still doesn’t excuse the fact that most public culture, written by men, consider stalking to be an excellent form of romance. Furthermore, one of the things I have noticed in the past couple of years is how most guys find slash fanfiction to be creepy but it is A-OK to read doujin depicting two female characters involved in sexual acts. This makes me twitchy and angry because most guys miss the bleeding point.

not because she thought the cast was too white.

Oh man, if nothing else that’s just retarded. I know lots of people watch the show for Hiro. Either way I find myself not being able to watch the show without having my blood pressure sky-rocket. I think in many ways I’m sick of this utter blindness to the gender and race discussion. Many people tell me that they are sick of discussing it, I get tired of discussing it, but I don’t stop, because I don’t want my children to grow up in a society where it is OK to stalk girls, where supposedly large groups of ethnic people in a white country is ignored.

See, I don’t have a problem with Dean sleeping around mainly because I don’t equate female characters that sleep around with sluts. Usually I’m all for it, barring a few exceptions (Anita Blake comes to mind, but that’s more to do with the fact she was cheating on 2 people while sleeping with the third. Cheating not on, sleeping with one-night stands; awesome!).

In relation to the victims - OK, your Earth logic defeat my own logic.

See, at least SPN’s chick of the week actually comes across as real rather than card board cut out. I like the fact that SPN have a range of women (the single mothers, the daughters, the evil ones, and the professional women), and while their screen time is short I often remember this with very irritation or much love. Ohh, see I love Jo, because in many ways I can identify with her, and Meg for me wasn’t human to begin with, so in many ways she’s in another category altogether (‘Beings I wouldn’t mind sleeping with if I wasn’t in a loving relationship already’). But in conclusion, yes, I watch SPN for the Winchesters, but then again SPN never lied about what its show was going to be about in the first place.
