So, to those of you who had the misfortune of listening to me (more like me emailing you) about my slight interest in a series of books called Alex Rider... OK, I admit it, the whole thing has moved onto obsession level. And of course after a brief search on the internet, Australia, once more, sucks majorly by not having the series in stock, even Borders has failed me. It seems my only option is to order via Amazon. Oh, the hardship.

Also, the movie is kind of Glorious in how bad it is. Alex P is really pretty, and believe me this disturbs me slightly.

ETA: Even Amazon mocks me. Is www.bankstreetbooks.com a secure site to order from?

Australia sucks donkey balls when it comes to international novels that's not Harry freaking Potter. I have managed to wrestle Amazon into submission by getting 6 of the novels. It required much clicking of the back button.

I was in a myer just the other day that had a whole bunch of alex rider books in their (admittedly tiny) book section. I think I bought the first one about when the movie came out.

which, speaking of the movie - I called it my Totally Inappropriate Movie and went to see it with a friend when it was in cinemas! He was totally pretty! And the movie was totally bad! But we fangirled over him shamelessly! :3

Amazon triumphed at the end - I have the first 6 books in my cart. The books seem pretty fun.

The movie is SO TOTALLY Inappropriate. He is so very pretty, but it was such a bad film. So -very- bad. But OMFG! Shameless FANGIRLING!

It feels as if the walls of my reality are collapsing. I'm more freaked out because someone wrote a fic where Pepper's character is replaced by Shia. Yes, Shia Lebeouff. It is as if RL is attempting to validate my fandom life.

It is all very strange. I like to separate and categorise my fanfiction from canon.

They found this boy called Alex Pettyfer (I always type it as Prettyfer) who is just hot. Unfortunately he was 16 at the time of filming, but now he is perfectly legal.

It isn't the best movie. In fact it is fairly bad, BUT the PRETTY, and at one point your brain goes - 'OMFG! It is so bad it is HILARIOUS!'
