although DK is just overrated in general. Me too! I mean I love Ledger's Joker and Oldman's Commissioner Gordon, but the plot and execution was just kind of 'meh'. Definitely, I'm really curious about the original now, to see what they changed and was it was. More Klaatu less annoying child.

The problem with the kid isn't just that he was annoying but it was the fact that he served no purpose in the greater scheme of this. It was Connnelly and Cleese's character that swayed Klaatu's mind, the kid was just ARGGHHHH! Wasted screen time. And yes, the non-annoying part wasn't really that believable. However, I did like the fact that he wasn't white because YES, RL people really do marry people of different colour, sometime they even have children.

But yes, really want to see the original now.
