So, this weekend was kind of busy, but it did allow me to sit back and count inventory on my entertainment. Guys, I'm currently following 10 American television series. Like, guys, fudge on a crapstick, 10 TV SERIES! That's like 7 hours of TV right there that I need to catch up on EVERY WEEKEND. I mean, 7 hours that I could be doing something constructive, not that I would but that's not the point.

FlashForward - Oh, gods, this is the show that I wait for with baited breath EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. I just want to know what happens next! NOW!

Supernatural - Oh, show. It is still the Epic Romance of Sam and Dean despite the Apocalypse.

Criminal Minds - I watch this show for Hotch, and Hotch only. I mean sure some of the other characters are cool, but MOM is EVERYTHING!

NCIS - This show is my happy place. Like the term 'Functual mute,' will forever crack me up. The sheer amount of TEAM LOVE I feel for these guys is just stupid.

NCIS LA - AHAHAHAHAHA! This is just fluff; also, I want to see how slashy they can get before they have them kiss on screen. It is all sort of ridiculous.

Glee - EEE! MUSICAL NUMBERS! ME LOVES! Jane Lynch is God.

Dexter - Yeah. I have got nothing. I usually don't have anythign to say about Dexter till the season is complete.

Merlin - I was going to give up on this series, honest. But then I watched the second episode and it was just all downhill from there on.

The Vampire Diaries - You can laugh at me all you want. BUT OMFG! DAMON is so VERY AWESOME! Also, episode 4 & 5 really screwed with my head, like Stefan just became very interesting, Damon is truly that ruthless, and Elena, well, Elena has a brain.

Psych – EEEEEEE! SHAWN and GUS!

Oh, and there is Castle and few other shows that while I’m not watching I’m keeping an eye on just in case. (Gossip Girl - No, I don't want to talk about the whys. I blame this wholly on the Blair and Chuck show.)

comments

I LOVES! I can see why people keep on saying how it is similar to Heroes, (I can’t speak about the similarities to Lost as I couldn’t even sit through 5 mins of that show) but you know what? FlashForward seems, to me, to be the far superior series. Like I got stupidly involved with the plot, the characters, and Olivia’s vision of her future hit me pretty strongly. Just yeah, awesome series premiere and the last minute or 2 was suitable creepy and acted as an awesome hook for audience.

So, yeah, LOVES!

comments

In an attempt to get in touch with my inner-tween I have been watching a run of vampire-related tv.

I downloaded 2 seasons worth of The Lair. It is a gay-themed series about, well, about a bunch of gay vampires running a gay-club. No, I’m not kidding. The basic premise is the head vampire thinks a male journalist is the reincarnation of his dead vampire lover. No, I’m not making this shit up. The second season also introduces werewolves and killer plants, no I don’t know why either. It is like a cross between the Bold and the Beautiful (the series is half an hour long and filmed like a cheaper version of the soap) and Kamen Rider. Seriously, KILLER PLANTS, and werewolves that looks like an extra from the series. I survived watching the series by the joy of the fast forward button. The series is badly acted, horribly written and serves as soft gay porn. However, still more interesting than Twilight the movie.

I downloaded the first 3 eps of The Vampire Diaries… um, I really like Damon, but I have come to the realization that plotlines focusing on teenagers without the aid giant robots or something truly awesome bore me to tears. I get all excited when it is Damon interacting with people, but gets horribly disappointed when I realize he is pretty much talking to adolescents with the brain size of a pea. In short I’m giving up on the series… I’m just going to youtube the Damon clips.

In conclusion, I miss the hey days of Anne Rice, which is something I never thought I would say. No more vampires for me. Unless it is about Damon and his sex adventures with either gender. At least I know what I like.

ETA: Oh, yeah, and my foray into True Blood, um, yeah, the less said the better. I think I actually like The Lair better. At least the latter is meant to be stupid, while TB tries to tell me that its characters are smart when they are DUMB as door nails, and it is just retarded that supposedly intelligent people does stupid things every episode. I hate the show with a passion, and wish all the characters would die, EXCEPT for Eric, because Eric is awesome.

comments

So, apparently I LOVE cooking. Yeah I know, I’m really surprised too. Except I bet most of you didn’t realise how I’m completely infatuated with bento boxes of late. I have just spent over a hundred dollars on bento boxes and it is all sort of awesome, however, I have realised something awful. I don’t have any onigiri-molds, vegetable cutters, or any of the other awesome bento necessities. Therefore, to all my RL friends (or anyone else who wants to feed my obsession), below is a list of items I would love getting for my birthday/Christmas/Chinese New Year. Take note!

http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH077
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/TAM078
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/KKU098
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/KKU097
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/TAM039
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/KKU006
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/KKU005
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/ASA143
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH138
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/FK417
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NETSEA101
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/BENTO239
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/ZK336
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/KKU017
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/FK290
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/FK291
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/FK424
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/TAM077
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH098
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH070
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/TAM057
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/TAM058
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/TAM076
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH132
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/FK432
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/HKN273
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH043
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH167
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH151
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH042
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/KKU055
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/TAM056
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/FK298
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH044
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH094
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH097
http://www.jbox.com/PRODUCT/NYH095

comments

Dudes. I mean dudes. The US Open hasn’t been this awesome in a very long time.

Hello Roger! I won't say it is a pleasure to see you lose your temper like that, but wow it has been a very long time. I suppose this does make you more human. Also, del Potro was pretty damn amazing there, just wow. You know del Potro just exemplified why I love tennis.

Also, Patrick Swayze dead at 57.
OK, so, before the first episode of season 5 I was feeling kind of meh over Supernatural. I couldn't help it; it was like all my love for the show had evaporated during the last 7 episodes or so of season 4. It kind of sucked to see Sam and Dean been broken brick by brick. So, not so much squee or love for season 5 until about 2 weeks ago when I accidentally spoiled myself. However, I was still slightly reticent about the new series.

Well, I have seen episode 1 of season 5, and OK, my love for this show is still alive and kicking. Oh, boys. How I have missed you.

( Spoilers – Episode dot points! )

( deeper thoughts, kind of )

One thing though; I miss Kim Manners, he brought so much to the show. While I was never the biggest fan of his when it came to plot, Manners did amazing things with the way he blocked scenes, and bringing an emotional depth that made me fall for Supernatural. So, Kim Manners, I miss you.

Looking forward to next week.

comments

Once again I am reminded that the Korean fans are insane. Jaebeom, leader of a 7-member boy group 2PM quits the band due to pressure from anti-fans and threats of suicide packs.

I do not make this shit up.

Basically back in 2005 Jaebeom wrote some stuff about his dislike of Korea and Koreans on his Myspace site (the boy was 17 for crying out loud). Considering how much he was being criticized at the time for not being able to speak Korean well (born and grew up in the US), some really shitty expression of racism, it is kind of understandable why he needed to vent. Anyways, the post was discovered by some netizens a few days ago, the shit hit the fan, uprising of anti-fan movement; threats, suicide packs and basically some really shitty behavior. In conclusion we have Jaebeom quitting the band and returning to America.

Dudes, seriously, this is why people can’t have good things. And this is why many Korean fans (or more like anti-fans) are bat-shit insane.

comments

I don't care what all the naysayers say about you, for you have always been my little <s>emo</s> baby. You had the most phenomenal character growth, and I hope to all the manga gods (and Kishimoto) that you will end the series as the Kage of your own Village. You know, the Village of the Powerful and Clinically Insane. If you go back to Knonoha as one of its Shinobi or a prisoner I shall FOREVER deny the existence of Naruto. I rather you die a GLORIOUS death than return to Konoha. Actually, I would only accept Sasuke returning to Konoha if it happens under one scenario – talked about under the cut.

( Wikipedia is awesome )

I can't get over how shounen manga is becoming awesome again.

comments

OK. I tried. I really, really tried. But the show is so badly written and acted I just can't do it. In addition, I don't think I have ever wanted a whole set of characters to just go and drop dead so very much (except for ERIC! I can WATCH ERIC every single day). The excess amount of sex gets boring fairly fast, the accents still make me want to stick a fork in my ear to make it stop, and Sookie and what's his name is about as interesting as watching paint dry.

How is this show popular? Also dudes, people have no foot to stand on if they like this show but make fun of everybody who likes Twilight. Personally I think the latter is actually more interesting than the former.

comments

It is a Friday night; I got fed at my parents place, had a nice long shower and am now sipping some Jim Beam and coke. Life is good.

Also, I can't stop listening to Amy Winehouse' Rehab. The woman is really talented. Her voice is like - it is like sex. I admit I judged her as a talentless hack without listening to any of her music, but wow. I kind of want to listen to a duet now between Adam Lambert and her; I think their voices would complement each other.

It always feel strange when I don’t know how to end a post. So, um. Goodbye, I’m off to read fics and drink some more.

comments
