Reccing fics and ep 75 of POT

All anime fic recs. Enjoy.

Prince of Tennis

[livejournal.com profile] jennifier_d's POT fics are wonderful. I love, I love, I love. She can write such a wonderful Fuji; Deuce, Chase and other Fuji fics can be found on her site; Blackfeathers. And while her Fuji is truly amazing I must say I love Captain's Pride and Words the most. The first deals with Tezuka/Atobe, and while Atobe's character is slightly off (just slightly). The premise, the feelings and the words of this fic make me want to breathe in the story and not let go.

There are so many parts I love in this fic but if I have to choose I would choose this;

He was hurt, and like all hurt animals, he simply wanted to curl
in on himself and let the world wash over him like an endless
tide. But he couldn't. His pride demanded that he stand up again.
His vanity made him take care of himself. His ego made him prove
to the others that nothing could take him down. Nothing short of

He was strong.

Now, he wished he was stronger.

The latter fic is Shinji and Ryoma and all of their mutual quirks. It's unbelievably funny and CUTE. She have their characterisation perfect. To give you people an idea of the fic;

Finally, Ryoma, who seemed to have thought of something, started
smirking. "Okay, I will buy the new roll."

"Oh, good. I was going to buy it if you didn't volunteer. Since
you have volunteered, that makes things easier. I don't
understand why you're so reluctant to buy a new roll of grip
tape. It's just grip tape after all..." Pause. "Oh, I know, he
must be trying to trick me into buying the tape so that he won't
have to buy it. Ahh... you're such a pain... You tried to do the
same thing the other time..."

"Mada mada dane."

"...should have known better than to do that. It is not going to
work on me anymore... You are too arrogant. Freshmen are not
supposed to be enjoying life like this. You don't know what
you're asking for. Should have more common sense..."

You get the picture. It's just so funny.

Myth720's fics are good. They are -really- good. I'm stunned by how wonderful they are *jumps up and down* Read 'Predilection first.

Leah Aute's Strange Rooms' only have one chapter out. But it's a long chapter (over 10000 words) and I WANT to know what happens NEXT!

X-parrot's fics are in character. And believe me that is -very- rare in the Saiyuki fandom. Her first Saiyuki fic 'And Miles to Go' is more adventure friven but me thinks her new effort is gonna be angst, angst, angst.

Hikaru no Go
As far as I'm concerned Dracostella's - Jigo is the best Hikago fic. Ever.

K. Huntsman's Hikago fics are beautiful. The firs in her unnamed series His Name, followed by Evanescence and then "Secrets

Ju's fics are a pleasure to read. Often light and fun. And humour can be so hard to get right.

Shimizu Hitomi should write more Hikago fics. Her few Hikago fics make me want to buy her offerings so she'd write more.

Aishuu's fics are good. Although I think there's room for improvement.

Was debating whether to rec HP fics, decided it'd be a waste of time considering most of you have probly already read them by now. Beside the recs should keep you people busy for at least two days.

Moving on. Finally watched ep 75 of POT. What can I say.... TEZUKA, YOU'RE SO COOL!! He's so awesome. Oh wow, he's just unbelievable. And I will -never- snicker at the Tezuka Zone again. Ever. I promise. Cross my heart and all the rest. While I wish they followed the manga in how Tezuka left (and how evil Oishi truly is) I'm -really- happy with episode 75. I *hearts*

Despite my raving about Tezuka he is -not- favourite character in POT. He's not. Really. I guarantee it. Honest. Well, okay, he's climbing the ladder but he's not my favourite character. He's not.... this might be what they call denial.

Now I'm gonna go and get some sleep.

POT, POT, POT, how I need more of you.

Before anything else, this entry is ALL about POT, there will be nothing else. Nothing at all except my ranting and raving about POT. So shoo people shoo. Spoilers ahead for people who haven't seen up to ep 79 of the series yet. Shooo.

Watched POT 76-79 and the Mountain Survival episode.... I HAVEN'T watched episode 75!!!!! The IMPORTANT one. All you Tezuka fans know what I'm raving about. I NEED to see the episode. I -need- to see it! Where is it?!!! I -love- this series, I really do. It's just so funny, so funny, so funny ^^

And my reaction to this four episodes;

1. Inui juice is dangerous. Very dangerous.

2. READ the piece of paper stuck on water bottles or any other form of taps etc. before drinking. People, there's reason as to why Inui juice are dangerous.

3. In direct reply to the above two points, poor Momo-chan.

4. Ah, Ryoma, I've forgotten what a conniving/smug/sly/arrogant little bastard you are. I can't belief that I disliked you at one point. Shame on me.

5. Osihi, Oishi, Oishi, if you were 3d, and so not obviously married to Kikumaru I would marry you in a second... even with the hair.

6. Tezuka, despite the fact you're not even in the country anymore you still made it into the episodes ^^ That's something. And I've gotta bow before your greatness even though I probably still like you the least of all out of the Seigaku team ^^

7. I'm so glad even other schools think that the Seigaku team are full of weirdos. They might be cute and adorable, but they're still weirdos.

8. The whatever Shounan school.... there's 'gay' and there's 'ghei'. I'll let you figure out the rest.

9. Tezuka is a freak, hell the whole Seigaku team are freaks, if the Survival episode doesn't prove anthing it proves the fact that they're all MUTANTS or genetic altered humans sent out to take over the world of Tennis. Oh shut up, I have my dreams, you've yours.

10. LOVE the new op. ALL the Seigaku team members gets to make an appearance ^__^ *happiness*

So instead of doing my assignment like a good little girl I ended up re-watching the Seigaku-Hyotei episodes -again-.

Oh, my playlist have changed to 'Ometto Samba' yes, it's an ALL POT playlist.

Anyways, back to my Hyotei-Seigaku episodes rant.

1. Fuji Syuusuke is cool. I just thought I should get this out of my system first.

2. Inui and Kaidoh are just too much. I can't help it. They are sooo cute.

3. Atobe is an arrogant/egotistical/attention grabbing arse... who still manages to worm himself into your fav characters list and -stays- there. Bastard. The only reason he's not a drama queen in my books is b'cos Mizuki have forever reserved that spot in my heart ^^;;;

4. Yuuta, you're cute and so obsessed. You love your brother, we all know that. No, I'm not talking about the sort, oh you people get your head out of the gutter.

5. And finally Tezuka. You rock, you so own, and damn you're just like the most awesomest person to have ever walked on this earth. But you're still not my favourite :p

Ohhhhhh, my FAVOURITE POT song is up; 'Victory Road' - Tachibana's song. I LOVE this song.

*runs off to her POT corner*

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! I BOW before Fuji Syusuke's seiyuu. OMG, OMG, OMG!!! I think I'm in love with Black Rain, Fuji's song from POT. *bounces* I LOVE her voice. But I can't decide who is better, Tachibana's or Fuji's song. Waaaaaaaaaaah. Have been listening to this song on continuous loop for the past twenty minutes ^^;;; But there's a bad side, since my cd drive have died on me I can't burn/watch/listen to anything that's not already on my computer. So yeah, if my computer dies before I burn this song I'm going to scream.

Uhh, I promise my next entry will sound much more intelligent and interesting. Honest.

POT review eps 71-74

ep 71. This ep made me laugh so much. So very much. Kaidoh is just wonderful, and Eiji and Inui are revealed to be the busybodies that they are.

1. Momo and Kamio make me laugh.

2. Ann is not that bad.

3. Shinji and Ryoma cracks me up.

4. The Seigaku team is a bunch of gossipers.

5. I feel for Tezuka. To put up with so many idiots must be unbearable.

6. Kaidoh is priceless, and perhaps read shoujo manga.

7. Fuji is evil, and have a brother complex.

8. Feel for Mizuki, for he has angered Fuji and his life will be plagued.

ep 72.

1. Kaidoh's family scare me. They really scare me.

2. Kaidoh has Super Saiyin moment. Yellow aura, blue lightining and exploding earth. It's the whole package, minus the hair.

ep. 73

1. Kaidoh likes cute animals.

2. Moutain climbing should always be that fun.

3. Tezuka and poker. Killer combination.

ep. 74

1. Huggles to all.

2. Tezuka have Super Saiyin moment as well.

3. The Tezuka Zone mastered.

4. think Tezuka is growing on me. Really sucky timing.

Yes, this ep was all about Tezuka. No matter what I say, teh guy can really carry an episode.

POT ep 70

Work? What work? Spent the day sleeping away headaches and such, only to wake up with symptoms of a cold. Tired, groggy, not thinking probably. Decided to go and rent out some DVDs. Red Dragon entertained me greatly, Edward Norton as per usual was excellent and OMG the slashy undertone kept on hitting me over the head. Will think in much more depth of RD slash when brain isn't a horrible congealed mess.

Ep 70 of Prince of Tennis mini-review, spoilers, yada, yada. Did this sometime on Friday.

I know I've asked this before, but damn, just what are the creators/producers of POT on? Sure this episode is no where near as weird as the chibi episode, but data baseball? Tennis style ping pong? Snake badminton? And of course the now (in)famous curling? The only games that were played 'right' were Momo in basketball, and Oishi and Eiji in volleyball, and how cute they were. I LOVE Eiji and Oishi. I LOVE. Even the baseball match was sort of normal until Inui dtarted on the data baseball, much adoration to Inui and Taka. Much.

Favourite quote of the whole episode:

"Participants... zero. Champoinship is mine." - Fuuji Syusuke.

Fuji is very lazy and oh so devious. I mean curling? So he can win the championship without any competition *laughs* Curling *shakes head* That boy, so many ulterior motives.

Everyone is so adorable in this ep, *huggles all the regulars* Hell, I love every memeber of the Regulars. It's so hard to dislike any of them when they are so cute and have so many unique quirks and flaws ^__^ But if I've to choose my fav character... hmm, I CAN'T choose one, although I can narrow it down to TWO ^__^

1. Inui; because of his data - sports, his sheer determination, his sense of fair play, and his toxic veggie-juice that (eventually) even takes down the genius Fuuji ^__^

2. Oishi; because he's nice, responsible (mother-hen), caring, and despite his overall nice-ness is an extremely devious individual. He can also bowl really well ^___^

I'm so looking forward to ep 71 of POT. Fudomine re-enters the show, Momo goes on a date, tennis is played, and it seems everyone in the show makes an appearance. And there's SHINJI ^____^ (adore the boy, he mumbles!).

.................. Going back to sleep..... or maybe I'll go and re-watch Red Dragon again......................

HnG 69.... POT 69

Hey, double 69s *giggles madly*

Uh hum, anyways;

SPOILERS for HnG 69 (sort of).

Review notes:

1. Ogata-sensei, picking up pretty young boys in your small, shiny, red sport car is doing horrible things to your reputation. Unless, you're thinking of opening a business ^_^

2. Detective Isumi, GO, GO, GO!

3. Isumi, I love you terribly, you're smart, kind, honest, and really hot (particularly in this ep), but asking a manipulative older man for a ride in his small, shiny, red sport car is not a smart thing to do. Unless you want your first to be someone with experience (and Ogata-sensei seem to have much experiene).

4. Kuwabara-sensei, you're one dangerous old man. Remind me never to play poker with you. And your psychic powers continue to awe me.

5. Akira-dear, you're beautiful, smart, and carry off that hair-do, so, why oh why are you wearing that horribly coloured shirt.

6. Hikaru, my sweet darling boy, I know you miss Sai and he's more important to you than your own parents, but if you sigh his name mournfully one more time I'm going to wrap my hands around your little neck and squeeze. Hard.

And that pretty much conclude HnG 69 review. It's always good to know you can still make fun of something you love, beside, I seriously was thinking teh above at the time ^^;;;

POT 69 Review (watched this a few days ago, so, I might be mistaken on a few things):

1. Where are MY Regulars?!! Two minutes of screen time and semi-shirtless Ryoma does not count!!

2. Semi-shirtless Ryoma... *drool* NOOOO *shakes head* Will not fall for such an underhanded tactic on the parts of the company to draw in the female fans. WILL NOT (but so pretty).

3. WHERE was Tezuka!?! You horrible, mean people leaving it like that *sniffles*.

4. Cheer to the first years. More screen time and character building. And so adorable, like beanie babies (yum, sugar).

And here ends my POT 69 review.

mutants tra la la

I've a theory about the POT verse; ALL tennis players in POT are highly evolved mutants, that, or they are genetically enhanced humans with superior strength, stamina, speed, and because of those blessed genes, mostly gorgeous. Think about it, if Junior High students can hit a ball at 200km/hr and jump approx two metres off the ground, and is still -NOT- playing at professional level than the pros must be really scary. Although, that does raise the question of just why ALL most of the mutants decide to play tennis rather than say, basketball?

Of couse, this can all be chalked up to animanga logic, but this is much more fun ^___^

As for RL.... I wish I was a mutant, then I can put all that extra energy into staying awake and doing my essay -_-;;; So tired, so sleepy.

I should listen to myself more. Shounen crack is bad. Bad, I tell you. POT is bad for the brain, bad. Watched it till 2am in the morning. I really try not to have a dirty mind, really, but, but, it's HARD, especially when you have a person like Mizuki with the Fuji siblings, and damn it, I was trying to watch it with a clean mind. But alas, I fell into the gutter and I don't think I'm climbing out for awhile *gurgle*

Sleep, need sleep, brain dead, and working on auto-pilot, I'm a floating... thing, yeah, something like that... sleep. Hmm, coffee sound better, I'm so dependent, the withdrawal symptoms are going to kill me. Yeah, coffee, love the smell.
