I'm an optimist. An honest to goodness optimist. I believe that humanity as whole will get it right. Eventually. But there are days when I look at the world and think that no, we are not getting it right. People are stupid, will always be stupid. Fear of the unknown and human pettiness will always choke whatever rationality, whatever tolerance we have managed to build up.

This makes me sick. When something that’s supposedly meant to be fun result in this. Fandom is meant to be a place where people can hole up and rant about the things they like or dislike. But when differing views result in one twerp making someone else’s Real Life hell…

… I’m so sick of humanity and its damn faults.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened in fandom, though. There have been at least two cases in HP fandom of people losing their jobs when someone called their bosses. >_<
