KANE!
I really like KANE - the band with Christian Kane & Steve Carlson (it is kind of mind-binding that Lindsay is part of a band!). As far as I can tell (wiki is awesome) they have only ever released 2 albums - their self-titled Kane and Live in London. The former of which I have not yet heard, and the latter makes me ridiculously happy. Their albums are going on the 'to buy' list, must have! BTW – correct me if they have released more albums.
ETA: Is EVERY song written by Chris & Steve about a girl? (At least from what Chris says). Not that I'm complaining or anything, just curious.

Quite right! We only have two albums by Kane so far (although Steve has released three independently). Although there were two versions of the self titled Kane album (the original version had fewer tracks).
They did say at the gig they played at The Enterprise over in the UK (last May) that they were "busy working on an album which should be released early in the new year" *cough* although their definition of early and mine might not agree *g* But they were both really amped about it. Chris is back over here in June though at the Decalogy con so there'll be a chance to pump him for more info on potential albums then.
And IIRC someone did ask them at either Senior Partners or The White Room or Not Fade Away the exact question you ask about songwriting - and I'm pretty sure the answer was Yes *g*

I'm definitely going to go and hunt down Steve's albums as well. Thank you for letting me know about the 2 different versions. This will help greatly.
The Enterprise over in the UK (last May) Was that the Live in London performance that I keep on hearing bits and pieces of? I get the feeling that their definition of most things differs greatly from most of us.
I'm pretty sure the answer was Yes *g* AHAHAHAHA! At least they're honest!

The Live in London CD was recorded at the Saturday night of one of the Starfury Cons - IIRC it was the second time Chris and Steve came over - the White Room. The first time was Senior Partners and although they played an accoustic gig it wasn't recorded.
They got such a good reception at Senior Partners (and the tech crew from Starfury are pretty damn good) that I guess they decided to take a shot at recording live. And as you can see it came out very well (although sadly a lot of the in between song chat has been edited out) *g*.
The Saturday night gig is now almost a tradition - they did one again at Not Fade Away - and I am really hoping we'll get one at Decalogy in June!

I have got a copy of their performance in London, where it was just Steve and Chris with no backup. Just the two of them and their guitars, and just wow. I mean wow.
I'm kind of really jealous here - I love in Australia, the likelihood of my seeing them live are kind of low.
