Quantum of Solace
Just returned from watching Quantum of Solace, and OMFG! YES! Just YES! You have no idea how much I love Craig’s Bond, Casino Royale made me love Bond the way I fell in love with Bourne. Quantum of Solace has pretty much guaranteed Craig as the only Bond for me. Also, probably one of the most satisfying revenge films I have ever seen; a closure for Bond’s lingering anguish over the events of Casino Royale.
It is absolutely fascinating watching Craig’s Bond throughout the film, the way that he conveys rage and pain through his eyes and his posture, and how he can be absolutely terrifying in one scene and so damn vulnerable and compassionate in another.
I think one of my favourite things about this film is Bond and Camille’s relationship. They are more comrades in vengeance as opposed to a sexualised relationship, and thank the fuck for that. Bond over only beds one woman in this film, and it is all sorts of fucked up that he only bedded Fields to get something in return. And yes, he kisses Camille but she WALKED away, and it is just an AWESOME scene. OK, I admit it, I have a thing for really FUCKED-UP heroes who DON’T take ADVANTAGE of EMOTIONALLY vulnerable woman, or you know, who delivers VENGEANCE killings because some people deserves to DIE!
M, as usual is AWESOME. I want to be like M when I grow up.
One other thing, Paul Greengrass PAY SOME FUCKING ATTENTION! This is how you film action sequences, STOP using the fucking steady-cam in the future.

Yes, I love Craig's Bond. And I really love the development of his relationship with M. That line when Camille asks if he's after this guy because he tried to kill his mother (something like that) and he says, "She likes to think so" with that smile? That was epic. And M here is totally his accomplice. She just...shoves at him, pokes and prods and makes sure that he's going to be the best because she knows he is the best. Still, yes. M. Worlds of win.

and he says, "She likes to think so" with that smile? That was epic. YES! Just YES! I remember giggling as he said it. And you are right their whole relationship is M pushing and prodding Bond, and him doing what he needs to do with her implicitly 100% believing he is doing the right thing.
Just LOVES! I'm so going to watch this film again.
