True Blood - I don't get it

OK. I tried. I really, really tried. But the show is so badly written and acted I just can't do it. In addition, I don't think I have ever wanted a whole set of characters to just go and drop dead so very much (except for ERIC! I can WATCH ERIC every single day). The excess amount of sex gets boring fairly fast, the accents still make me want to stick a fork in my ear to make it stop, and Sookie and what's his name is about as interesting as watching paint dry.

How is this show popular? Also dudes, people have no foot to stand on if they like this show but make fun of everybody who likes Twilight. Personally I think the latter is actually more interesting than the former.

This is why it's better than Twilight imo: 1) although the writing sucks, the visuals are much prettier; 2) I am watching it as though it's a vampire/power-switch AU fanfic of X-Men. Actually, the way people talk about it is basically identical to the way they talk about Twilight: "This is so bad, but I can't stop reading/watching it."

Also it's good for those times when I want to watch something that makes me kind of want everyone to die horribly for being stupid and uncharitable and wrong, when it's not an election year.

p.s. I heard all about Sasuke from my housemate; do you want to know, or has wiki helped you out?

Job still isn't letting up?

I didn't get anything more than that, no - although you might have actually caught up with the comics themselves by now to verify that for yourself! I am so far behind that I don't even know what my housemate was talking about, but he said: "Sasuke joined Akatsuki, killed his brother, is now primary enemy of all kages; has captured an 8-tailed beast (brother of raikage) to give to Akatsuki." I figure that's just another way of saying what you got off wiki?

Re: True Blood, I absolutely don't mean the cast! :D I'd go for Rogue and Lafayette, but I don't think anyone else is particularly attractive, including Eric. I mean more... the colours and quality of the filming. Even though it's dark, you can still see everything you're meant to be able to see. Everything looks clear, and the scenery is nice. You can easily tell the difference between the action and the background. No one looks super-plastic (I mean that in more of an action figure way than a Hollywood way), which they kind of do to me in Twilight. I can't even explain it properly, but it just *feels* prettier.
