Entry tags:

lj stuff

I admit I am a bit of a classifying/organising freak (NOT the same as control freak… similar but not the same,) so this leads to a compulsive need to tag all my own livejournal entries and to memory all journal entries I find interesting. This means, at the very least, semi-working headings for all entries (e.g., Naruto fanfanfiction, Angel fanfiction, and so forth) that I tag and memory. The system is not anywhere near perfect (I’m waiting for a long holiday where I will re-memory and re-tag all my entries) but it is a system that is easily navigable if you have a lick of sense. What I am trying to say (yes, there is a point to this) is that I like knowing where the things I like are, and it is a way for me to share (pimp) all the things I like to people (go to my memory or use my tag). The point is it FRUSTRATES me when other lj-users do NOT use EITHER of these functions. WHY? FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS FANDOM-PIMPIN’, WHY DOESN’T EVERYONE USE TAG AND MEMORY?!

*CRIES*

It is just that when I troll through people’s livejournal I’d really, really, really appreciate it if all the things I’m interested in is tagged or in the memory section. Think about it, to be able to go to ANYONE’S el-jay and be able to find exactly what you are looking for!

I can dream.

Also, I have 3 exams this week and I haven't studied for at least one of them.

I AGREE. What really is the weakest point of LJ is that it is very poorly structured for the organization of information. :P

What's VERY annoying is when people don't title their posts! Then you can't find in their archives. I am trying to use a free find thing so that others can search my LJ, but it doesn't work very well yet.

YES! Though I disagree with the poor structure of information. Lj provide the tools, it is just that most of the users are LAZY!(And you know, not complete and utter freaks about the organisation and structure of information. Logical headings is the way to go! :D)

The lack of titles especially when they don't tag or memory is PAINFUL! I have been reduced to the Art of Trolling via the Calendar, and that's just painful. Until there is a proper search engine for Lj (one that can be compared to goolge I shall troll through calendars, but I shall troll with MUCH bitterness.)

Well, using memories is kind of irritating. It would be easier if they provided catagories. Tags are easier because you can choose a tag at the instant you post, whereas with memories you need to manually enter them...

Ah, someone who shares my pain. LJseek and icerocket just are not very efficient. :P And so many people take their LJ account off of google with no-robots. And even in your own journal, the only truly foolproof way is LJarchive, and other people can't search that. -_-

Fuck I can't even be bothered lj-cutting half the time, let alone tagging and that shit.

But that's because you are special and emo. ;p
