connor babble and angel fic recs
So, after getting over 11 hours of sleep I feel all sparkly. *sparkles* And since I have been a complete and utter bore for the past few weeks (RL/stress/blah blah) I bring fic recs to everyone. (Even if most…ok, like 99%, of my f-list are not interested in Angel, hell, this can be my own personal reference).
I absolutely adore Connor; Destroyer, Champion, Fate’s Bitch, Greek Tragedy waiting to happen (Oedipus complex played out on television was kind of uncomfortable.) Everything about his story I go slightly English-Major over. So, it is always such a treat to find a story about Connor post-NFA; someone who have two sets of memories; much saner than who he was during the Jasmine-arc, someone normal. But you know, I question it; because if nothing else Connor is Angel’s son, he’s someone with a Destiny that is so large on the Cosmic scale that people/beings were after him before he was born. You can’t just walk away from the Fight (proven by Buffy, by Angel, by the list of Champions who tried to walk away from the Fight, and never made it.) Therefore, no matter how /normal/ he is now, he is till a Champion with prophecies and a Destiny, and I truly believe that sooner or later Connor would have to /stop/ being normal and get back into the fight.
Enough of my babbling, onto the recs.

Open For Business: Post-NFA. The Fight is never over, and Connor take up the business with a bit of help from Faith.
Field Trip – Connor and Spike: Funny-AU; spoilers for Season 5, with the addition of Connor being present. You know; the whole Angel staking his own son didn’t happen *koffs*. Connor and Spike goes on a road trip. Things don’t go planned, Angel wish for stronger pain killers *giggles* Love this!
Crime and Punishment – Connor and Spike: Sequel to the above. Angel ground his children.
And for the Epic (that is a capital E there.) Three Deep is a virtual season AtS S6/BtVS S8. The first chapter Alley Oops is now up. And omfg! My little mind is blown away. It has been a damn long time since I read something this complex and rich, and with enough set-up and hints that I’m squeeing like a mad monkey. It /feels/ like an episode of Angel. Mad GLEE!
Hmm, so what sort of fic recs are people interested in? (I might be able to provide some). I mean, is it just anime/manga fanfics? I find that I’m reading more and more obscure fandom. As side note; some interesting things are happening in the slash, and western-fandoms (television series, and films) that is completely different from anime-fandom.

It s more to do with RPS; fanfics of Real Actors (same name, same physical looks), but different everything else. An example; The Archer (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=legomyarrow&keyword=The+Archer&filter=all). It have most of the Lord of the Rings cast, but they are not who they are. That is, same name, different everything else. And it is damn addictive.

She write /really/ good crossover fanfics. I'd recomed reading her stargate/gundam wing crossover. You don't even need to know that much about either fandom because Vathara write her fics in such a way that it is 100% comprehensible. Honest.
(And I'm entirely obsessed about her YGO crossover fics -_-;;)
