SUIKODEN/TRUE RUNE Question
A thought. If the Star Dragon Sword (Zodiac Sword) is a True Rune, and if it did indeed choose Viktor as it's bearer.... does it mean that Viktor like the rest of the True Rune Bearers is immortal?
... NOOOOOOOO! Don't separate the FLIKTOR!
But before the hysteria; does Trune Runes provide immortality? Afterall there has been no mortal True Rune bearers... although Riou and Jowy's postions are a bit unique. Would the two die of old age as a result of their runes being halfs of the same True Rune? I need confirmation here.

Immortality as in the bearer stops ageing? Or that they cannot be killed? (I think we know the answer if it's the latter). My first impression would be that the True Runes do grant immortality, but seeing as how Konami are touting the Punishment Rune as a True Rune, (we've seen what happens to the previous bearer of this rune in the previews), this theory is probably negated.
It might also make a difference whether the Rune was attatched directly onto the person (eg, Soul Eater, True Wind, etc), or whether it is attatched to an object, like the Conquerer Rune (in the Encyclopedia, it is specifically stated the Rune was attatched to the sword, and not the sword itself, unlike the Star Dragon Sword). Just my thoughts.
And you know what I think about Riou and Jowy, and their respective Runes already. ^__^
Conclusion; Konami are coy, coy bastards.
Re:
As for Riou and Jowy, in the guides or something they had this long boring explanation of why they weren't immortal when Leknaat and Windy were, to judge from what people in the fandom were saying.
