Supernatural 214 - Born under a bad sign

I’m in a happy place, but I have got to admit – I’m so looking FORWARD for a funny episode. Anyways, for tihs week - I LOVE this episode.

  • Dean – SPENDING ACTUAL MONEY! He really loves his brother! Though, you know, the whole destroying evidence was kind of a sign.
  • The alleyway/back yard where they found Ava’s car (unless told different, that is Ava’s car) reminded me way too much of the first Silent Hill game, at that point of the episode I was officially tense.
  • Sam was really off for the first 10 to 15 minutes, at first I kind of thought it was Padaleki’s acting abilities, but when he picked up the gun and pistol-whipped Dean – it was OMFG! Apologies for not trusting the Padaleki like I’m meant to.
  • And canon confirms what most of the fandom has known for a very long time – Dean can’t kill Sam (except I kind of think he can but that’s a another can of worms that will hopefully not come up till later. I can always hope for the best).
  • JO! OMFG! JO! She’s SO HOT and AWESOME and I LOVE HER! EEEE! The way she handled the whole situation – obviously maturing and just so damn awesome. How she found Dean, patched him up and then told him ‘It doesn’t matter’ after asking him whether demons always lied. It is a sign of maturity that she doesn’t let a reveal like that to affect what need to be done. I don’t think SPN demons ever truly lie, not when a twisted truth can hurt so much more. Do I think John shot Jo’s dad while he was still alive? Yes. I also believe it was a mercy killing – if we are to believe Meg, the man had his guts hanging out from him, they were very far from a hospital, he would have died in pain. So yes, mercy killing.
  • I love how the show, once again, owned up to past situations and feelings – Jo so did crush after Dean, and Dean obviously didn’t have it for her. I think Dean honest to god liked Jo, even respected her a bit, and I think because of that he could not see her in a sexual way, won’t let him see her in that way. I have this theory that Dean would never sleep with a woman he respected, unless he is going for the full commitment, which Dean is so not.
  • When Jo said – “No you won’t”, I MADE this sound that was indescribable. Because fuck, I want it to be possible. I want Jo and Dean, and much sex through the years, in between hunts and memories, because Sam is gone and Ellen is dead, and sometime what you know is the only thing you got. Also, that scene, so how I imagined John and Ellen’s relationship to be – all things unsaid and so full of unfulfilled subtext.
  • Bobby is awesome – Holy!beer, I will use this shtick in a game.
  • Jared doing the Meg is, wow, I mean seriously awesome – Mr. Padaleki you win.
  • Meg!Sam torturing Dean – can’t candle it, honestly to goodness felt sick to my stomach. It is not so much the physical act itself so much as the fact it is Sam’s body doing the torturing. To see that brotherly bond being used like that really freaks me out.
  • Dean punching Sam – YES.
  • The naughty line made me smile, but honestly, I was really wrung out by the end of the episode to feel much.
  • Misc stuff – the Hunter that Sam killed, fuck, he seemed to have a very well off life. Hunters comes in all sorts.

Meg is either on her own, or she’s the diversion. I am becoming more and more suspicious of the Demon’s plans for Sammy – don’t get me wrong I do think the Demon has much plans for Sammy, I’m just beginning to question whether he is only interested in Sam. Dean, to date, has escaped 100% death twice now, he has also lived through every encounter with the Demon, by all rights the Demon should be getting rid of Dean, not letting him live. Also, the test in Croatoan – they did NOT say which Winchester boy. Many things about Dean are starting to ping my ‘weird, keep in mind for future reference”, and dudes, that column is getting longer and longer.

However, the problem is the fact that Dean is not special in comparison with Sam, but situations, events that occur does NOT seem to have the same effect on him as it would on everyone else. To date, Dean has not been possessed once yet, while Sam is starting to wrack up a bill with the whole external force affecting my mind thing. Though Simon Said kid (can’t remember his name) did manage to influence Dean, except the kid wasn’t a demon, and the whole thing just raises more questions. ARGHH!

Dean will not kill Sam, Dean will try with everything he have to safe his baby brother first. So, I guess John Winchester really do know his kids as well as he thought he did. John Winchester - you brilliant bastard, you.

I figured you'd get a kick out of the Supernatural one. And the Batman one? Aside from the whole issue #666 thing going on, Batman had a son with Talia al Ghul; boy's name is Damian. Apparently she drugged him and had her wicked way with him. Oh, Batman, as if you don't have enough issues XD;;

Huge kick out of it, especially when it is about John Winchester (the dad). As for the Batman issue - AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The Bat just can't get a break! *Giggles madly*.
