Pretty cool episode. The first 15 to 20 minutes of it was pure AWESOME!CAKES!

I liked every second of Dean and Castiel this week, every second.

This was such a well written episode. I CANNOT believe Sera Gamble wrote it. Like really, really, really good. Also, Jared is so very awesome in this, like OMFG! I LOVES JARED PADALECKI! LOVES! The boy looks amazing, and I am forever amazed just how far Jared has become as this amazing actor.

Also – Oh, Sam.

Also, if you are a Sam-hater you can go and rot for all I care. My love for Sam is EPIC! Hell, my love for the Winchesters is unmeasurable.

Also, I'm still so over the moon at how good this episode actually is. Lot of the time I have to talk myself into excitment about this show, but man, this was such a solid and awesome episode.

OK, so, before the first episode of season 5 I was feeling kind of meh over Supernatural. I couldn't help it; it was like all my love for the show had evaporated during the last 7 episodes or so of season 4. It kind of sucked to see Sam and Dean been broken brick by brick. So, not so much squee or love for season 5 until about 2 weeks ago when I accidentally spoiled myself. However, I was still slightly reticent about the new series.

Well, I have seen episode 1 of season 5, and OK, my love for this show is still alive and kicking. Oh, boys. How I have missed you.

One thing though; I miss Kim Manners, he brought so much to the show. While I was never the biggest fan of his when it came to plot, Manners did amazing things with the way he blocked scenes, and bringing an emotional depth that made me fall for Supernatural. So, Kim Manners, I miss you.

It was like! AHAHAHA! And then OH NOES! Then OMFG! PAIN! PAIN! PAIN! And then it was LIKE NO! NO! NO! I CAN'T watch the FINALE! And then I WATCHED the finale, and it was OMFG! WHAT? LIKE WHAT?

And you know, it was all sort of awesome, but at the same time it was sort of frustrating. More later.

I have not watched the new episode of Supernatural; I literally cannot bring myself to watch this episode. For the past few weeks I have thought I was becoming emotionally distant with SPN, that it was one of those shows I can detach myself from. This isn't because the series has gone bad, in fact I really enjoy the direction this show has taken, but it felt like I was happy to move onto other series, other fandoms because I was done with show, that whatever I needed from the show has finally being fulfilled.

Yeah, um, well, guess not. I'm still heavily invested in Sam and Dean, as brothers and as individuals, and I just can't bring myself to watch this episode knowing how it is going to end (spoilers). I'm weary, I don't want, hell, I don't like seeing how Sam and Dean gets hurt or hurt each other, and obviously I'm not over the show, it feels like the end of All Hell Breaks Loose (part 1) all over again. The thought of what may happen in the next 2 episodes depress me. I have this sneaky suspicion the only way I’m going to be able to watch the last 3 episodes is in one viewing and most likely with the aid of a copious amount of booze.

In conclusion; I need much distraction until I have the next 2 episodes so that I may watch the last 3 episodes in a row. This is going to be emotionally draining.

Still sick, however, have gone beyond the sleeping through it, now just feels crappy, tired and irritated.

Didn’t realise it was Friday until mum reminded me (thank you Jesus, I may doubt your divinity, but public holidays are awesome), went into a haze of happiness thinking about the new Supernatural episode only realising 10 minutes later that the show will not be back on till the 23rd of April. There might have been some weeping and listening of bubblegummy Korean pop to pick up my mood, and drugs, lots of prescribed druggy goodness.

So, in my prescribed druggy happiness, I decided to noodle-out some meta about Supernatural because I have been thinking about it, the medication I’m taking makes me do weird jumps in my logic. ( Spoilers for future episode titles – Short talk about the last 3 episodes of season 4 )

No more livejournal at work. Oh, well.

I have this habit of writing LJ entries, especially long entries, off and on over a period of days. This often means I end up starting a meta post about something and I don’t finish it till several weeks later or forget about it completely. As I was backing up my files today I discovered a season 4 SPN meta entry dated a few months ago that was never finished. While events have gone in the direction I have predicted it has done so in a manner that I didn’t foresee. So, I’m pretty much watching season 4 as opposed to meta-ing about it every second post. However, as we are in the last leg of this season I thought I might as well write down a few predictions and some half-assed meta about the characters and the ending of season 4.

WHAT? I MEAN WHAT? OH GODS! They have REGRESSED! This is so JPOP I feel slightly dirty, OK, I admit; the song isn’t too bad but the DANCING, OH GODS! WHAT HORRIBLE DANCING! perseid, HOLD ME!

In other news; Supernatural gets a fifth season! IT IS OFFICIAL! OMFG! Do you know what this means? It means Kripke will be writing/directing/producing the cliff-hanger that will END all cliff-hangers! It will be GLORIOUS, it will be MAGNIGICENT, and it will leave fandom HOWLING on the ground.

This is going to be awesome. I didn’t realise how much I needed that. Now if only FOX will allow another season for Sarah Connor Chronicles my life will be complete.

In other news, I may love my TV more than any other piece of hardware on Earth. I have managed to hook up the laptop to the TV, and it looks AMAZING. Tonight there will be a viewing of the new Sarah Connor Chronicles episode as well as some form of anime.

Bought a 42" full HD LCD television. The plan orginally was to buy a 26"; I made the mistake of taking dad with me and was talked into buying the 42". It is all kind of awesome, and I'm currently watching Spooks season 4 on the new TV. Presently I'm in a very happy place.

I spent over $300 on skin care products today. I feel slightly dirty about this, and VERY STRESSED. Also, I'm downloading anime, I'm ACTUALLY going out of my way to watch new stuff. It appears anime is finally having a good season.

By now everyone has heard the news of Kim Manners passing; I’m greatly saddened by this. From all accounts it seemed that Kim Manners was an amazing person to work with, providing a close-knit set for all involved. For me, Kim Manners created the ‘look’ that I will always associate with Supernatural, always visually beautiful and at times stunning, something that set it apart from all the other shows on television.

My condolences to his family and friends.

( FYI - I had to ask the boyfriend who the hell is Criss Angel. Now I get the joke. )

I enjoyed the episode; it was fun and there were things happening on both friends when it came to the brothers and that's what I wanted to see happen.

New Supernatural episode was almost scary. Cool.

I LOVE horror films, there are rules and conventions to horror films like every other genera of film. It makes me so very happy when SPN decides to do proper horror.

Overall it was a good way to re-start the season. I love the boys but if I had to have another episode of them EXPLICITLY angsting I was going to hit something. However, I would like the FOCUS to SHIFT to SAM ONCE IN AWHILE! PLEASE!
