Whee!

So, I have come to the realisation that perhaps I want to keep my lj and dw accounts separate, at least when it comes to content. However, I’m still very unsure about the type of content I want to keep on dw so I think I shall take an organic approach, that is, see where it goes naturally.

I have been re-reading the Foreigner series by C.J. Cherryh, and it still is one of my all time favourite sci-fi series. LOVES so very much.

Also, it seems getting an invite code for DW is quite a difficult thing.

I haven't read Cherryh's Foreigner series, but a lot of people seem to like it so I'll have to check it out sometime.

Have you read her Fortress series? Fortress in the Eye of Time etc. I ask because I am contemplating writing something in that fandom for a Yuletide NYR and don't think I know anybody who is familiar with the canon to beta (or at least pre-read) for me.

I love the Foreigner series! All I want to do is draw little love hearts around it. I have got the first 3 books and have just ordered the rest because I want a copy of my own.

No, I haven't read any of her Fortress series. What is is about? I may check it out.

They're a high fantasy series, rather political in nature but there's some action as well. I am rather enamoured of the main character, who was pulled out of the ether as a young man with no memory/experience of the world at all.

I can lend them to you if you like, but I'm leaving the country in something like 6 weeks, so unless you're a very quick reader...
