Antique Bakery Live Action
So, um, uh, kind of sleep-deprived.
In between studying for mid-semesters, preparing for tutorials, and doing research for assignments (racked up over 15+ hours of Uni-work during the weekend, go me!) I have also fast forwarded (yes, the fast forward button is my friend because I don’t have time to watch something in full) my way through the Antique Bakery television drama. The obvious attempt to take out the ghei is hilarious mainly because they still left the subtext, as in ‘meaningful stares’ and there was a kiss (kind of – the only kiss for the entire series, I think, and of course it would be between 2 of the male characters). In conclusion, like most J-drama (the comedy ones), it was fun and light hearted, and I’ll need to watch it again ‘cos I skipped like ¾ of the entire series. Furthermore, I couldn’t stop drooling at the cakes.
Also saw 2 FULL episodes of Dragon Sakura (or something). It is the same category as GTO and Gokusen except less extreme than GTO and better than the Gokusen live drama. They have ACTUAL study tips (the working kind,) and I suspect after the series even I can get into TOUDAI! *SPARKLES*
OK, class now, more detailed update possibly later.

And Dragon Sakura have not even a hint of the ghei yet I enjoyed the two episodes I did see of it. Once again, comedy for being a pre-requisite.
I find that while I still love angst I REFUSE to read/watch anything who's sole purpose is to make me an emotional wreck. I need my silver lining. If there isn't one why the hell did I even bother sitting through the pain the in the first place?!
In conclusion; watch it, both series are fun.
ICON!!! LOVE!!!

Popular school kid, cynical, acts like life's a game with a "if you get serious about things you lose" kinda attitude. But encounters these two mis-fits who changes his attitude on life and thus the whole state of the class. Very uplifting. But you wanna strangle the female lead sometimes.
Takuya Kimura, 'xin or ribi blogged bout him I think. It's about ice hockey, attitudes of the top lead player and encounters and changes/growth.

But the reporter lady is super pretty. She's in Kimi wa Petto, which was quite fun too. The funny ones are the besttttt, I watched Beauty or Beast, that's pretty good, and I have Gokusen, but am kinda put off by the overacting hurr hurr.
(Currently watching Orange Days, but it's so DORAMADORAMA, and the chick looks like a tarp so..)

The reporter chick is the chick who stars in 'Gokusen'. She's so pretty, and you are right, it is so OVERACTING that it kind of put me off -_-;;
