replaing FF7 and re-reading PoT

Replaying FF7. Love FF7.

Had forgotten that one of the major themes to the game was of people watching the world pass by, observing the joys and the pains of others, not caring enough to help.

Beside airships, trains seem to be a big thing in FF7 (and 8).

Need sleep. Want to keep on playing. Just reached level 66 of Shinra building (love this part).

Can't wait for Advent Children. Everything in 3D. All the characters, all the places. And please GOD let there by flashback scenes, because yes, I am masochistic enough in wanting to see Aerith's death in FULL 3D glory. I will cry, I will rage, but I will squee with all the emotional force I can.

Now for PoT-manga thoughts (in no particular order). Specifically the Rikkai matches.

1. Jiroh is such a fangirl, the cute-bouncy sort not the stalker-maniac sort (though I might be wrong here).

2. Rikkai is cool. Hands down, no questions asked.

3. Sanada's hat is a hat of dorkiness that is a crime against humanity.

4. Sanda is cool because despite the hat-of-dorkiness the boy put the fear of God into the mass.

5. Inui is KEWL! Bow before Inui!

6. Thank the gods that Renji finally got a better hair cut. Gakuto is not the way to go.

7. Atobe. In the Hyotei uniform. In that pose. Is hot.

8. Niou and Yagyuu's relationship is beyond anything I have seen. Precisely because they are not related.

9. Yukimura is wow.

10. Fuji is a God. That, or the Zen Master of All Zen Masters.

11. Kirihara is a brat prone to demon possession. But a adorable brat.

12. Seigaku & Rikkai has gone beyond the current level of human evolution.

13. I want to see Konomi-sensei do ShounenFight manga! (a proper Samurai drama would be highly appreciated). As sesame_seed said, just use the PoT cast. Transpose the characters into the new fighting series, and call it Prince of Blades. I would buy the manga.

FF7 had lots of bestest bits. Though the most memorable for me was always sector six and crossdressing, and the HoneyBee Inn, and Don Corneo. I wanna replay it, but someone's got my copy of the game. RARR>

And well, the other spoilery bits. I'm curious as to what Aeris will look like. I mean, if Sephiroth looks like a goth queen, and Tifa a ass kicking butch, well..

Funny you mention nostalgia. A friend just passed me a link to a McDohl picture, and I just spent the last 5 minutes joygasming over McDohl. Weird huh.

I FINALLY got theat part working. The overly muscled men in the HoneyBee have scarred me for life.

Don't care. Wanna see. And Tifa isn't that buff, she's just buffer than most of the guys ^^;; (and she seem to have had a breast reduction since the game).

Was doing that sometime last week. Started working on the webpage again. TIRCULTURE will happen. It just might take years -_-;;

People seem to be guessing sometime during October. I'm not that hopeful. Betting my money on either the end of the year (December) or earlier next year. Mind you, having just said that I bet it is going to be released in September just to spite me.

Will tell you when JAFWA decide to show it. Promise. Or you have the right to hurt me.

2-10. Agreed. I wonder how Niou and Yagyuu are going to return? Because they must.

11. I think I've decided that Kirihara is in intense need of some sort of counseling, because he's fifty percent kawaii and fifty persent kowai, if I'm romanizing correctly.

12. I am racking my brains trying to think of what K-sensei is going to do for an encore? What new rival team shall be introed? Because, dude, Fudomine, Yamabuki, Rokkaku and esp. Midoriyama are not at this level.

Yes, the two MUST return. It's like the never ending presence of Hyotei and Sengoku. They must return.

11. Total agreement. And your romanticising, as far as I can tell seem to be correct. Kirihara (when not red eyed) is like an overly enthusiastic puppy that you want to rub behind the ears (that or kick. Depending on how enthusiastic he's been).

12. See, that's why I think the manga should end after the Kantou regionals. Because dammit, at the current point in the manga I don't think I particularly want Seigaku to win. Though, the curiousity is tickled, and I really want to see what other nutcases K-sensei conjures up.

But it is YOUR fault because you thought of stalker!Jiroh in the first place. Now people will be writing homocidal Jiroh for no reason. And the Hyoutei team is really a l337 assassin squad who moonlight as a host club.

I don't get the neverending presence of Sengoku myself. Is it just to show the audience that someone is a normal horny teenage boy? Cause he keeps on losing, the poor guy. ;_;

Well, people have already done Sailor Moon fanart of the TeniPuri characters, but I think assassins is a new one.

I don't know if Sengoku is normal, but it is strange that none of the other boys seem very interested in girls, just as a random thing. (I saw the first part of 139, BTW, then missed the rest.

Later, on a gameboy ad. Cardboard cutouts (er, those gameboy drawings of the characters) of Sanada and Atobe talk, blah blah. At the end of the ad, for some reason, the Sanada pic is blushing.
