Tsubasa fic rec & ETA: New Saiyuki thing

I spent Halloween night sleeping! 9:00 pm bed time! I feel so well rested and happy!

READ! [livejournal.com profile] pengiesama's A Very Tsubasa Halloween

OMFG! I have not laughed this hard over fic in a very long time. With an overall heading of:

DUE TO THE FATALITIES INCURRED IN CLAMP WORKS OVER THE YEARS, WE HAVE COMPILED THE FOLLOWING SURVIVAL GUIDE.

Constant vigilance is the first key to survival.

Keeping it in your pants is the second.

And other headings such as:

VI. Whether you live or die, you'll always be back for the sequel if you have a big enough fanbase.

And the Teams! Team Woofy Kitty Bow Meow Biscuit make me snort caffine.

Oh, and don't forget to look at the pictures! *giggles*

ETA: I admit I'm extremely out of touch with the Saiyuki fandom in the sense that I have no idea (on the details) of what has been happening since volume 9 of the series. However, I do read the odd spoilers and way too many fanfiction based on Saiyuki. So, um, realise the following is made without the new context. Latest issue with the conversation between Hakkai and Gojyo: Really Not That Surprising. After all, Hakkai is the man who killed 1,000 (or was that 10,000?) youkai with his bear hands. That kind of single mindedness, that kind of ruthlessness and that kind of drive usually leaves one a little bit fucked up. Though I stand by the fact that I never questioned Hakkai's hold on sanity, ever (and that's a whole essay about the concept of sanity, and just how sane Hakkai is.) Also, really good timing, with the whole Halloween thing *smiles*

Sleep is good. I am also several years behind on all the manga series I am reading. >_>

Sleep is like the best friend I hadn't talked to in ages. If you are several years behind on your reading of manga I don't even want to know how far behind I am with the manga. (Have not read any manga since 'Bleach' 195 and considering that was the only series that I was following consistently... need holiday. Must have holiday.

I had no idea that becoming an accountant was this grueling. No autumnal holidays in Australia yet?

Becoming an accountant in Australia is strangely stressful, and I admit I have never studied this hard just to pass a unit before.

It is a bit different with the Australian University breaks. Universtsities have two main breaks, and both of them are designed to be at the end of a semester. There's usually an one month break (or 3 weekS) mid-year (end of first semester), and than a three months break that pretty much start from December and ends on the 1st of March (end of second semester). Somewhere along the line there's a one week break per semester, which really is a catch up week for all the assignments and studies that you have missed. So, um, yes, probably different.

Oh, and the seasons are opposite of those from the Northern hemisphere. It is the beginning of Summer over here ^_^ (or is that the end of Spring...un, yeah opposite.)

Heh, so you have one more month until you have a break. Ganbare!

Eh, so Christmas is in the summer, then?

[identity profile] naanima.livejournal.com 2005-11-03 02:28 pm (UTC)(link)
One MORE month!

Yes, Christmas is in Summer. HORRBILE, BOILING HOT, HUMID SUMMER! I miss snow. I always forget that if you are born in Australia (exclusing Qld) you probably have never seen snow in RL before.

No snow in Australia? But it seems fairly south. So does it have more of a Mediterranean climate? (New Zeland has snow though, right?)
