Siwon's Mandarin pronunciation makes me wince. Donghae sounds like a native, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun pretty much nails it, and Henry didn't sing enough for me to make a call. There's really no point commenting on Han Geng and Zhou Mi's pronunciation.



Gods, they look good, and the song is catchy enough that it will definitely send them into the top of the charts.

I had this whole pimp-post written up about why I LOVE Bi/Rain; how his mother died of diabetes because they were too poor to afford the medication, the fact that he still live in the same crummy apartment as when he first began his career, the way he doesn't take anything for granted, and just how damn talented he is. Gods, I'm going to miss them; Eric, Dong Wan and Min Woo are enlisting for the military this year, and this will be the last time the six of them will be performing as Shinhwa for at least 2 years. I await for your 9th album with much anticipation and glee.

I just woke up from a four hour nap, had some delicious cheese and sundried tomatoes on crackers, and feel awesome! Spent the long weekend cleaning; there was vacuuming, dusting and moving of furniture. I spent 8 hours shifting dressers, cabinets and wardrobes my friends, old wooden wardrobes that had to be unpacked completely to be moved and then repacked once it is pushed, pulled and lifted to its new location, which was on the other side of the house. The upside; I now have much more space in my room, new furniture and I’m almost 100% sure that I have gotten rid of my cockroach problem. Also had dinner with the boyfriend’s parents in a swanky restaurant, gamed, and finally spent some much needed time on my computer watching youtube clips of DBSK. In conclusion, I have had a highly productive and awesome weekend.

And now I go off to watch Children of Men with dad.

ETA: And the following is why fangirls think members of Korean pop bands are GHEI for each other! I mean they kiss, hug and stuff in front national television. Oh, SuJu, never change!



ETA 2: Skinship basically sounds like what it says; physical contact between individuals. It is often encouraged in Asian countries between people of same sex; it is sign of deeper friendship and affection. Except you know, I swear the Korean boy bands really push it to the limits, on the one hand I think it is because they are that comfortable with each other, on the other hand I think they are doing it for the fanservice, either way it often generates some big reactions.

So, I have been informed that I've been rather, um, Supernatural focused, so, to show that I still LOVE my Korean boy bands with an obsessive dedication, I'll dedicate this post to DBSK and the SuJu boys.

About 2 weeks ago DBSK (Dong Bang Shin Gi (동방신기 - Rising Gods of the East), a 5 member acapella/boyband, returned to Korea to star on NUMEROUS variety shows, many a fangirl expired at the thought, for all of us has missed the boys on Korean variety shows. There is a certain level of crack that the boys never manage to reach on Japanese variety shows. There are many reasons as to why I adore them enough that I was contemplating naming my first born after certain members (shut up perseid, I have passed that stage, kind of) I love them; for one they can actually sing. In fact I got addicted to their songs well before I ever saw them perform, and their performance of Rising Sun pretty much blew me away, and there was just no looking back. Despite their success they are still so damn humble, and considering their average age is 21 I think it is just an amazing thing. I LOVE them to bits because they are honestly nice people yet still manages to be such big dorks!

Purple Line Rehearsal because they ARE DORKS, and decide to do a few moves of Tell Me song done by a GIRL GROUP! I LOVE them LOADS.

Super Junior, the 13 (possibly 14, because of the violinist, don't ask) member boyband, just had their FIRST official concert, and OMFG! I am stupidly HAPPY for them. Considering the amount of crap they had to deal with to have this concert, this is EPIC! First, it was Heechul being involved in a car accident that left him with a metallic nail that spans the length of his WHOLE thigh, then it was the car accident in April 2007 involving 4 of their members that left 2 of them heavily injured; Leeteuk had 170 stitches, and KyuHyun suffered from a fractured hip, and pneumothorax from fractured ribs. He has only really begun to recover later/early this year, and everytime I see him performing I get stupidly TEARY.
