I admit I never even thought of Sanada/Oishi until I read your fic and as they say the rest is pretty much history. I have become a rabid supporter of the two because you have convinced me on every front. They both are Vice Captains who are continuously pushed to the brink because let's admit it, it isn't like Seigaku or Rikkai are made of saints. Because of this both of them will understand the stress the other will be experiencing and that will produce an understanding, which is always important in a relationship. In addition, the added stress of having a Captain that is in the hospital/recovery (whose probably their closest friends) produce more understanding (and conflict but that can be worked out).

In conclusion, I absolutely adore the two, and wish the rest of the English speaking fandom would adopt them.

BLEACH is interesting because I read it for the none-pairing reasons. On the het front I'm leaning towards Ishida/Orihime because Ishida blushes in front of her on a regular basis, and the two of them are just adorable.

I can't say that I see Ichigo/Rukia mainly because I see their relationship as a form of 'comradeship,' like partners in crime without the sexual tension. They are equals, fighting for a similar goal, supporting, egging on each other as they meet road-blocks. Having said that I have this sneaking suspicion that if Rukia was a guy there will be busload after busload of SLASH/YAOI fics written about two. However, with the way the manga have being progressing I don't know how long there will be a lack of sexual tension between the two. All I really know is that the anime is giving me more Rukia/Ichigo than the manga. Whichever, I do have great hopes that something may grow between the two in the future, because they have the best foundation for a romantic relationship, they have a friendship that have gone through pretty much everything.

As for SLASH/YAOI in Bleach, I have to admit I don’t see much of it, at first I was hoping that Ishida/Ichigo would have some sexual vibes, but unfortunately my yaoi-fangirl heart just doesn’t see any sign of it. They gel well as semi in a team but they just don’t’ seem to click in that ‘OMFG! I want to see them in BED. TOGETHER’ sort of way. HOWEVER, I do see Bakuya/Renji in the slashy sort of way. The first time they appeared I was all rather ‘whatever’ but after Renji loses to Ichigo and have that talk and fight with Bakuya I’m all for Bakuya/Renji (I’m probably the only one).

So, aside from the above the one pairing I’m all for is an OT3! I’m all about Renji/Rukia/Ichigo OT3! After reading the flashback to Renji’s feelings for Rukia I just could NOT see the UST between the two. But there’s no way in hell Rukia would leave Ichigo because in a lot of ways Renji missed his chance with Rukia when he let her go and didn’t tell her his feelings. However, I’m a romantic and I couldn’t help but notice the easy bantering between Renji and Rukia, nor that Ichigo trust Renji enough that he THREW Rukia towards him to carry off. I JUST love that scene. So, yes, I think Rukia/Renji/Ichigo would work. They might be a lots of snark, much arguing, but I can see it happening ^_^
