Need to sleep. Sleeeeeeeeep. However, need to finish accounting assignment first.

Saw [livejournal.com profile] eirivan for five minutes on Saturday! Sorry [livejournal.com profile] eirivan, I was kind of out of it when I saw you, thus, the minimal talking. However, a dip. Ed? For some reason I just didn't see that one coming but I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Feeling wrecked (tired, tired, tired). The only thing I did this weekend was getting personal with my accounting assignment on Saturday and part of Sunday. Spent the remaning bit of Sunday with mum watching Asian sopies, and eating KFC (yummy chicken.) Played about four hours of Suikoden 4. Discovered the Adonis and Anti-Adonis attack. The few words that kept on spinning in my head when watching the attacks; GHEI! GHEI! GHEI! Oh HELMUT, how can you let Sigurad and Hervey corrupt you so.

In between doing maths I've began to read Suik04 walthroughs -_-; So, having finished the game, and taking things into perspective, I have to say I enjoy Suikoden 4 much more than I did Suikoden 3 and Suik02. Not saying Suik04 is the better game because it lacks certain things that the previous Suik0 games had; scale, and overly-political plots. But what Suik04 does have, over the other Suik0 games, is the sheer playability of the game. It is fast and fun! I have to admit both Suikoden 2 & 3 took me much longer to finish because at times, to me, it dragged, and as soon as things begin to drag in a game I tend to lose interest. The only reason it took me less than a month to finish suiko2 was because I wanted McDohl, and it wasn't until at least chapter two (with all three characters) in Suik03 that I really got interested (probably why it took so bloody long to finish the game).

I do adore the plot in the Suik0 games but I had always felt that the game-play aspects of the Suikoden series was lacking. So, Suik04 make a happy, happy, happy gamer. And honestly, I really can't even complain about anything in the game anymore because I enjoy so much of it. I have heard Suik04 being described as one big side-quest, but d00d! This side quest make me damn happy, and the things that gets revealed is damn fascinating.

[livejournal.com profile] worldserpent, I need you to play this. I need to bounce ideas of you, and since you haven't played it yet I can't get all bubbly and start pelting pet theories at you. In many ways, the actions and the motivations of the characters in Suik04 are much more personal. I don't know what to think of Cray, his character design have the honour of freaking me out on several levels, and his EnglishVA does a wonderful job of mkaing him sound both sophiscated and rough at the same time. It is hard to describe (omfg! I like an English dub!)

In addition, Elenor Silverberg is truly awesome, and the Hero and Lino?! That was so left field I was like o_0

I finished Suikoden 4 by accident.

I finished Suikoden 4 by accident.

It took 38 hours and 48 minutes. This is what happens when I don't have a walkthrough, I speed-play through a game like a chipmunk on acid. As a consequence I'm truly lost on the whole plot thing, not saying what I have found out isn't interesting (it is damn fascinating,) but I feel as if I have missed out on large chunks of plot. Hmm, I'm so glad next week is going to be a holiday week for me. Going to re-play the thing to get every last cut scene.

Now, I shall study for my finance mid-semester this Thursday.

Suik04! I have TED!

My weekend was tiring. Spent eight hours studying Finance and twelve straight hours doing my maths assignment. The brain is indeed tired. On the upside I'm pretty much finished with the said assignment, and I figure one more solid-day of Finance and I should be fine.

The really good thing: Played MORE Suikoden 4 from 11pm to 5am (there wasn't much sleep involved this weekend).

Another 10 mins. Maybe a bit longer. Suik04 game-log. The game is addictive. And TED! I have HIM! SOUL EATER! And the Ship-Guide.  )

[I need a Suk0 icon. Maybe I can email one of the Japanese fanart site, and ask for permission to use their art-work for icon purposes.]

suiko4 questions

Feeling much better now. Got my mid-term results back (for two units), and while the maths mid-term was a bit of a let-down I'm still at 80% average for Corporations Law. There might be hope for me yet. In addition, I played three hours of Suikoden 4. This involved running back and forth trading items (need money), and recruiting like mad (I want Ted NOW!) Reinbach is a hoot, and I still haven't settled on a permanent part set-up yet.

So, questions for Suikoden 4 players:

Q1. Is their a recommended party(s) set-up? (Most efficient. I aways try to have one magic user and two tanks, not including the Hero, 'cos usually he's the all rounder.) I already know you need two parties for the final confrontation. So, 2 set-ups would be appreciated.

I'm currently using Chiepoo, Kika, and Sigurad.

Q2. What's the best way to get Potch? (Trading, to me, seem to be the most efficient at the present time.)

more suikoden 4 <_<;;

ELENOR SILVERBERG! *_*

It might not be as great as the previous games but it still is a Suikoden game, meaning I have to finish it, liek NOW!

So, I'm pretty sure I screwed up chunks of my CorpLaw mid-term when I should have known better, and the maths mid-term can go either way -_-;;;

I know I'm behind on replies and such but after Saturday I needed to disconnect from the internet and just relax. So, what did I do? I role-played, and I have also wracked up 15+ hours on Suikoden 4. And OMFG! KONAMI! You BITCH!

Sukioden 4: It's not all bad. The 10 minutes run-down )

[EDIT: H4's shorts are liek, really short *koffs* ]

Sooooooooo tired. As in tap me and I'll fall over. This calls for the emergency caffine. Much to do and not enough time, and no one to blame except myself.

Forgot to mention this a few days ago; [livejournal.com profile] amei, I PLAYED 50 MINUTES of Suikoden IV (though I had to return it the next day *cries*). I can LOVE the game, I know I can. Whatever I may feel for it on completion will not matter, for I LOVE the game now.

(I want to watch GundamSEED, need to watch more. I suspect Athrun is growing on me, as a result I fear for him. <_<)

Suikoden 1 in relation to plot coherency and characters kick Suikoden 2's arse. McDohl Rulez, and while Riou is cute in a squishy toy way he is nonetheless rather boring. Though number two did have MORE Leon, and Shu, and the COOK OFFS! Suikoden 2 is still a good game just not as good as one because the plot still does not make sense to me, and while I like Jowy the way he did things is still incomprehensible to me. Suikoden 3 made me happy 'cos Geddeo is awesome and I want to be Chris, the plot was damn awesome (COHERENCY) and there are MORE Silverbergs. Though Hugo's chapters were a bit boring (LOTS!). So, ranking.

1. Suikoden 1!!! McDohl!!!!
2. Suikoden 3 (to be fair, game play wise Suikoden 3 is superior to One, BUT Suikoden 1 has McDohl! A Flik that was a Punk, a Thief Viktor, Odessa, Mathiu, and Kalekka!)
3. Suikoden 2 (it had a lots of good things going for it BUT the weak motivations or at least the lack of logical planning, and the lack of a strong lead made this game playable but NOT great.)

As for Suikoden IV... haven't played it and will NOT let anyone sway my decision until I play it.

More beer then sleep.

sleep? what's that? being up for the whole night. I can't do the whole nighter thing anymore. I feel very sick.

I hate my abnormal psych essay. ir just isn't doing what i want it to do. bottom line; it isn't making any sense. i have a feeling when i'm more coherent i'll be scrapping this and starting again. Fuck. Need sleep.

have heard of FF7 movie news, have heard of SuikoIV news. While happy I have feelings of reservation for both (you have no idea how long it took to type up the last sentence). they might be good, or they might dash my hope like there's no tomorrow.

And i agree with [livejournal.com profile] amei, the wild card character has got to be Ted. We never found out how the Souleater rune was lost anyway. Also, I know there's like 20 something runes but can we not have a game about all of them. I sort of want to know what happened to all the other immortal rune carriers in the past three gmes. Well, I really only care about the first game, but still.

anyways, off to sleep.
