Klingon Criminal Robs Two 7-Elevens In Colorado.

Colorado Springs police are looking for a man who hit two 7-Eleven convenience stores early Wednesday, armed with a Klingon sword. The first robbery was reported at 1:50 a.m., at 145 N Spruce St. The clerk told police a white man in his 20s, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and wearing a black mask, entered the store with a weapon the clerk recognized from the Star Trek TV series.

The robber demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount.

A bat'leth?! AHAHAHAHA!

Also, the following makes me giggle.

Two Men and a Dalek Mask Arrested in Weird Ex-Girlfriend Kidnapping Plot

Rawson, 21, claimed he thought Wakefield was joking until he turned up with the £40 helmet he had bought at Woolworths, along with night vision goggles, handcuffs, an air pistol, a balaclava, a boiler suit and a knife block . . . The court was told that Rawson was meant to go to the woman's home in Newark, Nottinghamshire, hold the knife to her throat, then bundle her into the boot of a car and take her to the woods.

But after waiting outside her home twice, Rawson abandoned the plan. On the first occasion, he ran away after he was "spooked" by a cat. The second time he ran off after being caught in the glare of an approaching car's headlights, the court heard.

Obsession Update

naanima: ([Highlander] Methos)
I finally received all six seasons of Highlander the TV series, and the one season of Raven the spin off. So far I have managed to watch Methos; I foresee much viewing of people carrying swords in trench coats in the near future.

No, I still haven’t seen the last episode of Torchwood yet; I will get around to it... sometime soonish.

I have 2 and half season of TOP GEAR! My life is COMPLETE!

SPN returns in about 2 weeks time – YAY! Four episodes till season 3 ends, and I’m expecting an ending more like that of season 1 than season 2.

Lastly, I may or may not be reading Pete Doherty and Carl Barat fanfics.
naanima: ([Misc] Red Mooni n Desert)
Firstly, there is the Sandy McCoy interview - she is a member of Mensa and she find Captain Picard hot, hell she knows who Captain Picard is. Gods, I hope she and Jared get married soon and have bazillion CUTE babies.

Secondly, the SPN LA convention reports are beginning to appear. Yay!

Thirdly, there is a snippet of the Phil Sgricca interview, which makes me smile, because the female species has good taste.

And lastly, I can't stand Robin Hobb, her novels and her opinions, people make fun of Anne Rice for her issues, but honestly Hobb at times make Rice seem sane and talented.

ETA: A version of Crazy Love where you can actually hear Jensen Ackles' voice! Hell, he sings a whole verse. OMFG! The thing is he sings the way I imagined Dean would sing and not actually how he would sing. Either way I'm ridiculously happy!

Now I sleep.

Photos from the Super Junior and Dong Bong Shin Ki (DBSK) Christams taping of EHB. I cannot wait for this episode; I may possibly explode from the GLEE and SQUEE! 11 hours of footage to be condensed down to 2 hours. OMFG! I hope they do an additional episode, at this point I'm perfectly happy watching them staring at paint dry.

Also, it has been officially 4 years since DBSK made their debut, and the fans send MASSIVE amount of food; the whole thing is damn impressive. There is cake, alcohol, fruits, pork and other savoury goods, and PIZZA! There are days that I love being a fan.

Life has been fairly good.

Watched Supernatural 308, there will be comments at some point in the near future. I'm still processing everything that happened during the episode. However, one of my reoccurring thought throughout was that Kripke is a major fanboy of Neil Gaiman. Bless the man's heart.

[ profile] perseid and I fangirled muchly over Korean pop-artists; we have come to the conclusion that we are suffering from puberty in reverse as we are insanely obsessed over Korean boy bands. Though I confess I'm just obsessed with the Korean music industry in general.

BTW: Xiah Junsu has officially become sex!ass.

Have watched the Anyband concert; Tablo, BoA and JunSu is AWESOME! I'm still a bit confused at the pianist; she's cute, but her presence at a pop concert throws me a bit. BoA is so much more edgy (HOT) when performing in Korea; she's just awesome. Tablo and Epik High are such dorks; LOVES, and DBSK as usual made me squee with glee, though YunHo's absence hurts.

Also watched most of DBSK's Bonjour Paris DVD; YunHo and Jaejoong are so married, and everyone is just so damn cute.

As the World Turns is bringing back the ghei; Luke and Noah makes an appearance, finally, and I saw one of the best fictional depiction of how a grandparent would deal with a gay grandchild. I can't believe soap operas are bringing me semi-realistic depictions of relationships.

Also, I’m of two mind when it comes to LJ’s new customise layout page – it is rather counter intuitive.

Waiting for DVDs, books and more DBSK merchandise.

Organization For Transformative Works

Organization For Transformative Works.

It has been boingboinged!

"- the board chair is Naomi Novik, bestselling author who's been vocal about her support for the fanfic community

- the organization explicitly recognizes the role of women in the fandom community, and has launched with respect for that history as part of their values statement (not to mention an all-female board)

- the word "transformative" looks like they're throwing down the gauntlet in copyright battles, insisting that fic is fair use as a transformative work"

Today I love fandom.

Do it for the statistical reasons (I am really curious): join [ profile] fandom_counts.

You are not required to do anything, just join. There's no posting and it isn't used for petition reasons or other lofty causes, they're just trying to figure out how many of the 13 million users on LJ are fandom people. They have breached the 10,000 mark, and I’m really curious as to how many fandom-people are out there on LJ.

A change of pace

Lately I have been kind of a drag with all the serious and the gloom. So, I decided to make a list of things that I love and makes me happy.

I love fandom. We are like one big dysfunctional family - there are the cousins you no longer speak to, the aunt and uncle that you whisper about, the sibling you had that 2am kitchen fight with when appliances were thrown and feelings were hurt. But at the end of the day you are still stuck with each other because you are a family, and while you can call them names anyone else who hurts their feelings will be hunted down by the Family.

    I love pork.

    I love beer.

I would love to try beer-battered chips. It is a life goal.

    I love my parents.

I love my shows; Supernatural is my biggest obsession ever.

    I love my boyfiend.

I love pasta, noodles, udon, and spaghetti, oh gods I love my mum's spaghetti sauce.

    I love sex.

I love nacho sauce and sour cream. The nachos not so much.

Oh, and babies, I love BABIES! I want to breed so badly.

Today, two kittens walked up to our screen door, looked at me, pawed at the door and then began sniffing their balls. It was adorable. Mum thinks I'm clinically insane, but she's a cold hearted woman who kicks small animals, so I'm ignoring her about that one.

So, in short, I LOVE my life!

ETA: Oh, and I love coffee!

Livejournal - Deleting accounts + communities

Yes, Livejournal has been deleting communities and accounts.

[ profile] liviapenn - Check your interests; we are being targeted. This is very informative and provides an overarching picture of what's going on.

I have gone through several hours of paranoia (I blame hormones, I friend-locked my whole el-jay, only to unlock it when the crazy left) but have gotten well over it. I'm not blaming Livejournal, I really can't when it is hammered into me on a regular basis that legal entities must avoid lawsuits at all costs. No matter how much Livejournal wants to paint themselves as friendly and open, and all about freedom of speech, they are a business; profit is the most important factor, and they cannot afford any form of bad media attention.

Honestly, the whole issue is really rather simple (on a personal el-jay level) - be smart about what you post, use common sense, and REMOVE all interests that can get you into deep shit. In fact, remove ALL of your interests. The only thing on my interest at the moment is - freedom of speech.

Irony amuses me.

ETA: A petition to Six Apart - hit them were it is important (MONEY).
- Organizing a push back
- "a petition of paid livejournal users (buying customers) who would cancel their accounts if Six Apart didn't approach this issue with more sensitivity".

Fandom is being all sorts of awesome lately.

FanLib gets their ass handed to them by mainstream newsblog. Link from [ profile] _leareth.

A funny side to the whole FanLib situation. This entry makes me LOVE fandom with the white hot passion of a thousand burning suns.

I am still bemused by the lack of understanding and respect FanLib has for their major target market. Oh, and still pissed at them.

ETA: Join [ profile] life_wo_fanlib; keep up with all the FanLib news. Hell, make it the #1 link to show up on Google when people search for FanLib.
