Act I: Blah, blah, blah. Pretty standard, though the musical numbers are kind of shiny.

Act II: This is kind of fun, but please do something about your female characterisation Joss.

Act III: What-the-fuck-ever.

Joss Whedon and I have always had a volatile relationship. I liked Buffy, I appreciate everything he did for the female hero. Sure, I lost complete interest in the show around season 4, but I admire his efforts and the show's influence on pop culture. And honestly, I rather have girls using Buffy as a role model than Lindsay Lohan and others of the like. However, Joss has huge blind spots. Gender and race is just the tip of the icerberg. Good to see that he’s still pretty consistent with his strengths and faults.

In conclusion, the three Acts doesn’t feel like it explored anything new or really interesting, the only thing keeping me watching being the musical numbers. At the end of the 3 Acts I'm left weary and the attitude of What-the-fuck-ever.
