Probably one of the most satisfying season finale I have seen in a very long time in terms of character development and delivering a sense of emotional-Zen (I'm still bitter over Doctor Who and Torchwood). The plot was not great, the directing at times made me cringe, but the characters, oh, how the characters made me ache.

In conclusion; Colin Morgan you are pretty fucking awesome.

ETA: The special effects in this episode did not suck that much, ( in fact ) was AWESOME! And it is nice to see ( that the ) YAY!

Arthur is just - MAD SQUEEE! I love this Arthur so very much. Just all the glimpses of what kind of king Arthur will be makes me all madly giggly in a rather stupid way. But OMFG! So much LOVE for him.

Merlin - OMFG! MERLIN! *HUGS*!

I would just like to say Morgana and Gwen makes me GLEEFUL!

And next week's preview looks AWESOME and Arthur-centric, and it is all good!

I know I should watch episodes 6 & 7 before episode 8 but megaupload only allows me to download one episode a day, and episode 8 was something I really wanted to see.

This was rather serious, and smart writers for laying down the ground-work for future storylines.

( Well, that was kind of awesome. )

I'm not saying that I don't like the inevitability of doom, but god dammit, this is my happy place. I need them to be happy and not doom. Now I go in search of au/future!fics.

Also, EMRYS! As in MYRDDIN EMRYS , the Prophet and Magician. OMFG! OMFG!

This series makes me smile, and sometime that’s all I really want from my entertainment.

Saw 3 episodes of Merlin (1, 2 & 4); AHAHAHAHAHAHA! Talk about historically inaccurate, but omfg! It is all sorts of fun, I'm not even talking about the subtext. It’s just that I haven't seen a show that enjoys itself this much in a very long time. It isn't high art, but it is light and fun, though I'm very glad the adolescent angst didn't seem to last beyond episode 1. I think I shall continue to watch.

In other words; I love this Arthur. And Merlin is the snarkiest of the snark ever to have ever snark’d.

Also, DAVID TENNANT!! Well, it was bound to happen, but dammit.
