It is early, had 4 hours of sleep, will be going to work in 30 minutes.

I really don't like TORCHWOOD much. I like what it does with its characters, I love that it expanded the Doctor Who universe, and the last 5 minutes of series 1 made my month. But beyond that, I thought the series was rather meh - it was riddled with some pretty bad writing, cinematography that was rather ugly and clumsy, and most of the time I couldn't decide whether the writers purposely made most of the cast irritating (which would be awesome), or whether it was a result of bad writing.

In addition, I think I'm the only person not to have been wowed by the episode - Captain Jack Harkness. I liked it fine enough; it just wasn’t the definitive moment of the series for me (it wasn’t even a highlight). The last 5 minutes of series 1 saved the series for me, before that point I was perfectly happy to hate EVERY single character on that show, and was ready to wash my hands of it. Then the awesome ending happened, and suddenly I was much more forgiving of everyone and everything of the series.

So, in conclusion, TORCHWOOD - it was OK, the ending though, the ending made it kind of awesome. But objectively speaking, I spent around 80% of the series grinding my teeth (Ianto soothed my anger).
