I was going to update yesterday, I had this nice long entry about Hajime no Ippo and GTO. There were rants, ravings and much jumping up and down in joy to celebrate the ending of all my psychology essays. Then I received the social psych exam questions, saw my exam timetable, and I went home and crashed.

Now I'm awake and while I don't have the time to rant about Hajime no Ippo and GTO, I can rant about the first ep of Peacemaker Kurogane.

Well, it is good. It is really good. The violence that I thought would've been edited out wasn't. It is present. The music is good, the character design nice. The only thing that's quite jarring is that the anime is so vibrant and shiny. Having read the manga up to the second series at a point where things are beyond bad, it's hard at times to remember that PeaceMaker isn't all violence and death, and doom and gloom. Thus, it's slightly unbalancing to see that the more gritty animation style in my mind isn't the one that producers chose for the anime. But I can see wht they chose it, and the point is it is good.

The opening sequence is awesome, and if they can keep up with the budget and the same fuidity of the fight scenes I'll be one happy camper. The Ikamatsu scenes are going to be awesome. Just AWESOME.

So, now it's just hoping that they keep up the budget and stick with the manga storyline. If they do they can finish the first series in approx 13 eps. Need to re-watch the ep again.
