I think Gerald can be anything as long as he can reach his goal - if he need to work with a group of individuals to reach a mutual goal he will do it. The interactions between Qui-Gon and Gerald would be interesting on a purely theological POV. That, I would pay money to see.

Sean Bean is kind of hot. So it is all good. :D

Berserk - Griffiths is like the anime/manga version of Gerald. Beautiful, charismatic, cunning, and above all else ambitious. Gerald wanted to create a God, Griffiths wanted to be a God. Gerald sacrificed/killed his family to become immortal to see his idea become all encompassing. Griffiths sacrificed his mercenary group (Band of Hawks, people that are closest to him in the world, hell he sacrificed the one man that he would've given up his ambitions/dreams for, but that's a debate of just how much despair Griffiths had reached at that point) to the God Hands (Demons tortured/raped/killed them). The thing is - Griffiths did have remorse, had doubts till the last moment, and currently it is still unresolved whether there will be a Gerald Tarrant ending for his character or not.

Man, I love Griffiths and Gatts relationship; the former is very Gerald-like, the latter is so much more than Damien (I liked Damien, it is just that often Gerald over-shadowed him).
