I finished Suikoden 4 by accident.

I finished Suikoden 4 by accident.

It took 38 hours and 48 minutes. This is what happens when I don't have a walkthrough, I speed-play through a game like a chipmunk on acid. As a consequence I'm truly lost on the whole plot thing, not saying what I have found out isn't interesting (it is damn fascinating,) but I feel as if I have missed out on large chunks of plot. Hmm, I'm so glad next week is going to be a holiday week for me. Going to re-play the thing to get every last cut scene.

Now, I shall study for my finance mid-semester this Thursday.

CONGRATURATION! YOU HAVE HAPPI ENDO! :p

Wow, that's speed play all right. I've just arrived at Obel, courtesy of her highness Flare. Unfortunately, no time to plaaaaay. But totally agreed on the Snowe is an idiot part.

^__^

Well, I don't have the happy end, but I have an ending ^_^

I like Flare, she doesn't feel redundant. I like the King more though ^0^ Snowe is an idiot. He also happen to have a truly awful fashion sense -_-;

For more timewasting and snarky Suiko 4 fun, I recommend [livejournal.com profile] thehighseas's friendslist, which was created to watch a bunch of Suiko 4 rp journals. They are TEH FUNNY. XD XD XD They apparently cover the later part of the game, and continued on their own plot after the game technically ended. Since you're already done with the game, I'm assuming there won't be much spoilers. I just read because I adore the snark. *cackles* Hero has a turtle fixation! Ted has a fanboy! Jewel is a darling who shows her love by setting people on fire! (as often as possible!) XD XD XD

Wooo hoo, congratulations. But wouldn't it be faster if you did have a walkthrough? (Because you wouldn't be going around poking around trying to figure the right way to trigger the plot event)

Thanks ^_^ Uh, actually it is faster for me to go through a game without a walkthru. I don't seem to have a problem with triggering plot event, but I have major problems when it comes to missing all the good items, and the additional back stories to characters. Hmm, I just find that most RPGs use similar triggering events. For example, leaving a town/building/castle after you have done everything will trigger something, or going to sleep after people tell you that you look weary, etc.

Suikoden games are good like that ^_^V

(It is just that if I do speed play I often get to the main boss very under powered. This often cause me to die once before I figure out the Main Boss' tactics.)

Sometimes I've had a hard time triggering events. But I tend to take a really long long time to do things because I really, really hate to die. I just hate it. I'm sure this points to some psychological pathology, but I consider it cool if I become insanely overpowered. Sadly you couldn't do this in Suikoden III, because it got harder and harder to level, which annoyed me.
