Reading so much manga that my brain is dying. Yes, dying. Nine volumes of MPD Psycho, and 20 or so volumes of Naruto. I hope I have some cool dreams.
Naruto have had a sucky life.
Sasuke have had a sucky life.
Neji have had a sucky life.
Lee have had a sucky life.
Gaara have had a sucky life.
Kakashi have had a sucky life.
Tsunade have had a sucky life.
Hinata have had a sucky life.
The rest of the cast have had semi-ordinary lives... sorta.
Itachi scares me. I mean before he appeared there was this whole 'he must be misunderstood, etc., etc.' but no, pretty ruthless he is, and damn powerful. I can't wait to see the face off between him and Sasuke when the latter actually have a fighting chance against the former. It's gonna be one awesome battle.
However, Sasuke chickens out (which I don't see, but you never know), or if someone else does the killing I'm gonna be pissed. The reason I adore Sasuke is because while he's definitely human with emotions and such, he's damn determined and fairly ruthless, and NOT wishy-washy. In other words, he' NOT token bishounen.
Orochimaru deserve to die, altho one suspect he probably had a sucky life at one point, but he still -need- to die. I really dislike the snake.
Have random thoughts on Fourth Hokage, there are several possibilities at the whole sealing of the Kyubi deal.
1. He's Naruto's father, and decided to use his own son as a vessel for the Kyubi, while sacrificing his own life to create the seal. The most obvious, and most likely.
2. He -is- Naruto. The Jutsu he used afterall is one that required his life, but it was also stated by the 3rd (during the fight with Orochimaru) that it's a seal that requires the soul of the caster to be at eternal war with the sealed soul. If you take that into account it means that the Fourth' soul must be needed to battle the Kyubi. It might be possible that the Fourth somehow (don't know how) reverted himself to the state of a baby in order to seal the Kyubi. Mind you, that raises the questions why he had to revert to a baby. This is a theory that have so many holes it can be likened to Swiss Cheese, but despite that I like this hypothesis ^__^
3. He died casting the seal. Naruto is random baby. Unlucky ^^;;;
Fight scenes (when it finally gets there) really kick arse.
Here Begins 'MPD Psycho' rant. This can get -really- confusing if you haven't read MPD Psycho up till the end of Volume 9.
Well... I'm disturbed and fairly burnt out, but wow, what a head job (not that sort, you perverts). Otherwise, I understand! Sorta. The thing is I can be so very wrong here. Very. I need to re-read it at least a few more times before I get more of a clue.
So we find out that all of the personalities are created to 'meld' into one as to 're-create' the soul of Lucy Monostone (who is sort of hot if he didn't look like a pip ^^;;;) in the perfect body that's pretty much set up for killing. Gotta love genetics.
From what I have gathered (this can be wrong, gods knows this manga can be confusing at the best of times) Amamiya Kazuhiko is important because he is the balancing personality to Nishizono Shinji, or else the body that the personalities inhabit is just a homicidal killing machine, who is so unstable he'll need to be buried under twenty feet of cement.
Okay, to put it simply, all the personalities need to merge into one in order to recreate Lucy Monostone's soul, and thus the perfect body. However, so far it seems the body itself have to be perfect, or at least the body must have a more of a 'merged' single personality. Basically, it comes down to the 2 most important personalities merging into one in order for Lucy Monostone to be reborn. The personalities seem to be Amamiya Kazuhiko and Nishizono Tetora, in which case they'll become the perfect weapon, or Lucy Monostone (here's where I get confused). It become a bit muddled, it seems there are also two bodies, 'XX' and 'XY' the former being Miwa, the latter being Tetora. Both seem to be more 'complete' than all the other bodies, that is, closer to perfection. In order to become perfect they have to synthesise with Amamiya Kazuhiko.
Both Miwa and Tetora are 'second generation'. She's also in love with Machi (? not to clear on the subtleties), hence the reason she was willing to let Machi fall in love with Amamiya because she was going to 'meld' with Amamiya, so in effect Machi was going to love her, thus, everything would be fine. Instead she chose to give up Amamiya's personality to Tetora, which on the one hand take away the pain from her (try juggling several personalities and see how you like it), and on the other stabalises Tetora. Either way, she wants to safe Amamiya and keeps him alive.
Isono Machi's role in the series is making me curious. Just how involved is she (and her father) in the experiments. There are implications that Machi is the 'mother' of the children. Well, more like genetic donor, but it might just as well be that her father was the donor. Either way the children seem to be programmed in a way that they can't harm/kill her. She's important to the whole experiment and apparently can't be trusted, but one thing is for sure she want Kazuhiko back, and seem to be willing to do anything to get him back. Of course, she herself can also be genetically engineered, which makes more sense than anything else.
I'm quite interested to see how Machi deals with being in love with a man in a body 10 (or more) years younger than her. This is if Tetora can survive till the end of the series with Amamiya's personality in him.
Grade school children have no right to look hot. I feel like a dirty old woman. Nishizono Tetora is Teh Hot.
I want MORE Kato Akira. I just think he's cool ^___^
All of this is under the assumption 'I think' hell, I can be completely off the mark. I need to at least re-read it several times to get everything. Also, you know the series is becoming ingrained into your mind when you can actually remember ALL the main characters names.

I wanna be the drummer kitten!!!! Yes, I DO!!!
BTW, I *like* your Kyubi theory #2. It has a lot of holes in it, agreed, but #1 is just so expected anyhow, and we know it has to be more complicated than #3.
I no longer have any idea at all what is happening in MPD Psycho. Whoosh! Right over my head...
I'm trying to refine theory two a bit. Me think the brain will eventually supply some form of over the top reason that will validate point 2. At least I'm hoping it will, as you said 1 is just boring and 3 is too random. There MUST always be a reason in this sort of series.
I understand. It has taken 9 volumes but I understand. I think during volume 7 the explanations began. It is an eye opener.
prettyimportant to the plot to die right now. There might be more to Orochimaru than what we see, but I doubt it, as the 3rd basically says that he was a little snake in the grass even as a cute little kid. But one unrepentant clinical psychopath baddie is enough, IMHO.Huh, maybe you could go in for how the 3rd dies, and note that it involved both the 3rd's and Orochimaru's souls, IIRC, being in some nether zone for ethernity and compare that to how Naruto and the Kyuubi live in the same body, and note that it's a big amorphous secret what happened to the 4th.
MPD Psycho: I think at the end it's going to be like Voltron and they'll merge into Lucy Monostone Mark II and the earth will blow up. But why take such trouble to create a killing machine that's also a rock star?
