naanima: ([SPN] Shiny)
The current season 3 spoilers of Supernatural seem to be causing explosions everywhere. I feel kind of bad for not caring as much - I mean, extra cast members were bound to happen sooner or later. Besides, I keep on thinking about how Kripke et al. has managed so far to make the constraints of having SPN on a network like CW work in their favour. That's to say, I believe in Kripke et al., also, if the show does head in a direction that will cause me to burst a blood vessel I’ll just have to make the hard decision of sticking with it or leaving. Please don’t let me make that decision.

On the upside - [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang. Rubber duckies and samurais - I ♥ this fandom so damn much.

I believe in Kripke. He hasn't gone wrong yet, and he seems to be listening to the fans and taking not of what we're saying. I mean, look at the back half of season two - that was some excellent TV.

I guess I agree right now with winterlive and marishna.-

Exactly. Creators should always listen to their fans, but they shouldn't be ruled by them. Even if CW does force Kripke to introduce female characters into this show (I honestly don't think it is a bad thing, I loved Meg), I honestly believe he, Manners and Singer will make it work in their favour.

Ditto on winterlive and marishna!

Also, this week's Doctor Who is going to be awesome.

It is interesting to watch the explosion though. Almost like a new tv show.

That's how I feel to. I've read the sides, read the spoilers, and right now I don't really care. I hope it doesn't suck, it might, but filming is still a little more than a month away (right?) so, I'm not worrying over something that's not even here.

But I would hate to have to walk away. That would be so sad, to have to find something else to fill the space. :)

Reality TV: Fandom Explodes, Part the millionth.

Exactly. I care about the show (hell, I love the show to an unhealthy degree), but I don't want to throw stones without seeing the new season first. Though that maybe due to the fact that I liked Jo to begin with; I liked her for herself - dream to be a hunter, and not the love interest of Dean Winchester. I loved Madison for the little while we had her, and I think I could have liked Cassie if she was better written. Basically, I like the women on SPN, and I just don't see why that would change. Having love interests doesn't mean the brothers won't love each other the most.

I don't want to walk away, when I say SPN is my biggest obsession ever, I'm not kidding.

Also - Orlando Bloom icon! Is it from Kingdom (something or other)? That's the only film I actually began to like the guy.

Okay, seriously, there is probably someone out there thinking up that idea as I type. It will be the new version of Survivor but instead of having to make it on some so-called dangerous piece of earth, contestants must fight to make it through hiatus/current show seasons. Spoilers and rumors are the enemy now, not jellyfish and wild boar. Oh no!

You know, I liked Madison, and even with the way she was written, Cassie. With Cassie it was because she wasn't falling all over her self over Dean. She had a life and didn't depend on his. It was refreshing to see that, for what was offered. And I liked Sarah too, she made laugh with how brave she wanted to be. I think the outtakes helped in her regards. And Jo, the whole Dean thing made me annoyed. She had such potential to be such a great character and didn't need Dean there to hold her hand.

The only thing about the new characters is I don't want them on just for the guys. I'd prefer no love interest-at least for a while-until everything is established. You know, work up to it if it were to happen.

Really? Only then? Oh, and it is from Kingdom of Heaven. I personally have enjoyed Orlando for a while. Ever since I saw him as Rent Boy in Wilde. And I suppose it would help in my adoration for him that I got to meet him when he was filming LoTR and found him completely charming. I'm not one to act like a crazy star struck girl when it comes to actors, but, I literally talked about meeting him for half a year. I'm surprised anyone wanted to see the trilogy with me afterwards, lol!

not jellyfish and wild boar.

Ahahaha - so true. Also, I'd watch your show!

Cassie - definitely liked the professional in Cassie, loved the fact that she was realistic enough to admit that she and Dean was not going to work out, and then had the courage to tell him straight out. However, there was just something about the way her character arrived at that decision that jarred with me. Sarah was the little girl trying to grow up, and that I admire. Jo, oh gods Jo, I can write essays about how I adore Jo, even for the whole Dean thing, because I can see why she would fall for the guy, but my love for her was completely cemented as she watched Dean walk away and said "No you won't". I think I became a Dean/Jo shipper at that point.

See, I was introduced to Orlando Bloom via LOTR, and while, it seemed, the rest of the world went insane over him all I could think about was how he looked like a girl. Also, I didn't find him that interesting during LOTR. It was while watching Kingdom of Heaven, and then later seeing him on the Graham Norton show that I realised that he had talent and was in fact very interesting. Ohh, you got to meet him, that's impressive.
