Captain Jack! Captain Jack! Captain Jack! Captain Jack! Captain Jack! Captain Jack!
On their first proper meeting:
J: Doctor.
D: Captain.
Eeeeeeeeee! SQUEE!
All the bits about Rose - I am so happy that they did not down play the importance of Rose to Jack and the Doctor. Of course they would hug over Rose surviving when nothing else would even make them touch.
Jack arrived in 1869 after the Dalek invasion. Wow.
D: Have you had some work done?
J: You are one to talk?
AHAHAHAHA! OMFG!
D: You are busy BLOGGING! (This was in reaction to Jack and Martha complaining).
AHAHAHAHA!
J: *chuckles, while running away from angry mob* Oh, I missed this!
D: *To Jack as the Captain flirts with men, women and alien* Stop it.
Gods, I have missed Captain Jack the companion.
J: How long have you known?
D: Ever since I ran away from you.
That hurt because it was a choice, something the Doctor consciously chose to do because Jack violated a personal law on the Doctor's part. There is guilt, but he chose it. Gods, it is so damn personal.
D (on why he left Jack): You are a fact.
The whole spiel about how Jack is everything a Time lord could not stand makes me want- want to do something. The reason provided makes perfect sense - Jack cannot die, he is the one constant in this universe. Jack is something the TARDIS brought back while human, what he is now grates against every instinct a Time lord has. Time changes, always.
The watch - I LOVE, love how the Doctor's stint as a human serves as a plot device to bring back the Master. It wasn't just an exercise in fleshing out the Doctor's character, it served a bigger purpose, it served to move the plot forward, to familiarise the viewers so that it will play a bigger part in the future. This is awesome story telling.
On the Professor and the Master - the Professor was amazingly inspiring, the Master so very creepy. When he opened the watch, and changed, I was devastated. I really liked him. But oh, to see as the future adversary for the Doctor - this is going to be awesome.
Random - the people in black are controlled by the Master! (From the preview).
- Canto’s stop watch, obviously no longer a holder of memories for Time lord, but it would be so cool if they can work it into the main DW/TW world. I adore Ianto.
This show is just so awesome.
- Mood:
ecstatic

YES!
I love DW and SPN differently. SPN is an obsession, it is love, it has its faults but it clicks with me on a level that very shows does. I will forgive it for anything (presently). But DW, well, DW is like a piece of art, it is beautiful, it is amazing, it is the closest thing to perfection on television. However, like art, I can admire/love/be in awe of it but I can be not in love with it. I am in love with SPN.
