Stargate Atlantis

Stargate Atlantis why are you so good for 2 or 3 episodes, and then suck for about the next 12 episodes? Why?! Last 2 episodes of season 2 was all sorts of awesome, and then, then - *wild hand gestures of rage*. I did not see it coming; I honestly thought the Wraith wanted to use the retro-virus as an alternative food source. If that was the case the show would have been AWESOME beyond belief, eating your own species to survive, and having the 'good' guys blessing to do so, how cool is that. But no, instead the Wraith back-stabbed the SGA through bad fire-walls and a computer virus that made no sense whatsoever, I was LET down I tell you, LET down! And yes, I'm hugely bitter over this. Also, the Wraith Queen had truly creepy moments but they tried to make her too human, and those stupid shoes, those damn shoes! ARGH!

McKay is still the awesomest of the awesome.

ETA: - People want the California State Attorney General to get involved with the LJ/6A thing. Oh gods *HEADDESK*. [livejournal.com profile] _leareth explains why this is a BAD idea.

SGA would be marvellous if the characters (as a group) didn't make such retarded decisions. I mean, maybe the producers think they're being, I dunno, anti-Star Trek by not having the team be all sweetness and light and never wrong, but for heaven's sake!

The characters themselves are still awesome, but I can't say I've really enjoyed the plots in a long long time.

*NODS* Exactly!

The s2 finale was awesome (to begin with), raised interesting ethical and moralist issues, however, the lame, "It is a virus", was a dumb answer to how the Wraith double crossed everyone. ARGHH!

But yes, the characters are awesome, though I wish they would focus more on Ronon and Teyla. I LOVE McKay, but once in a while it would be nice to have Ronon and Teyla shine.

I actually enjoy some of the one-off eps more than the overarching one - seriously though, how much were you expecting out of SGA to begin with? =P

Some of the one-eps are funny and quite enjoyable, but the operative word is some. Also, the overarching plot have potential, s2 finale was brilliant and then it FELL flat! I don't know, I was expecting something better, something less average. This is what happens when I have been watching smart, intelligent, or consistent characterisation series. Gods, I need my shows back.

Well, I think what will probably happen is that they'll just say "thank you for your letter, we'll look into it," they'll look into it and decide to do nothing, and just file the letters away.

Which will be the probable case. I hope. Either way I'm pretty OK/safe.

Oh, did you see they posted something new at LJ_biz?

Well, it is more clear, and they seem to have learned something. I'm more curious about the aftermath now. I know that from my flist alone, five people have left LJ, and many are multi-posting to IJ, GJ, and LJ. This is going to be interesting.

i have a mess of issues regarding the retrovirus but uh, it's been so long since i last watched SGA that i've forgotten all of them XD;; i just know it pretty much killed a large part of my enjoyment of the show.

AHAHAHAHAHA! That makes perfect sense. My major issue with the retrovirus was the way it was used, if the writers/producers actually went all the way it could have been kind of cool, but instead they just kept on bumbling around with this retrovirus that was just a waste of story time. Also, the 'Michael' episode drove me insane, it was so horribly developed. All I know is that SGA - single episodes (about a quarter of them) are good.

I really need my shows to come back - DW, SPN, and Boston Legal.
