I have a NEW computer! There is 4 gig of RAM and 500 gig of hard drive, and it comes with a 22" LCD monitor. I am in LOVE!

Now I need to go and acquire a copy of Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and so forth. Since I just spent all my money on this beautiful new computer, getting the software ought to be interesting. Suggestions would be welcome.

AHAHAHAHA! I was more along the the lines of any open software alternatives. But I see your point!

BTW: The pink wig and black outfit looked hot!

are you using just a 500gb drive?

I have about another 500gb worth of external caddy space, and I can always get more. I spent today re-installing software, copying things over and so forth. I did get ephopd, haven't installed it yet as I also got winamp. Sometime this week I'll need to re-upload and sort my iPod. But today is NOT that day.

well i actually wasnt concerned about the amount of storage, more just whether you were using is as your main hard drive

It is 2 harddrive, one that is 120 and the other 380, I'm using the 120 as my programs/software drive, and the 380 is just for storage.

is the 120gb a 10000 RPM drive?

I have no idea. I will need to check tonight.

Is this leading somewhere? I feel as if I should be concerned.

well a regular drive is usually 7200 RPM, but having 10000RPM drive as your main OS/programs drive increases your performance further.
