OK, just saw episode 12 of Torchwood, and YES! That’s what I’m talking about! Torchwood’s strength has always been its team-focused episodes, and OMFG! They deliver spectacularly in this episode.
Turn of the century LESBIANS!! EEE! Really scarily effective and competent Torchwood lesbians, show this is when I love you to bits. It is nice to see how Jack got involved with Torchwood and why he stayed. The complete destruction of his previous team does make it quite obvious that Torchwood teams are not exactly the most stable.
Toshiko’s past was damn scary. It is frightening to think UNIT has so much power, to shut away someone for life without trial. How brilliant was it that yes, Toshiko is that awesomely smart! Fixing purposely wrong plans to make something that work. I wonder if she ever managed to see her mother before she passes away. And thank the gods for the improvement of Tosh’s fashion sense.
Ianto – EEE! JEANS and that BELT! AHAHAHAHA! I LOVE how he SAVED Jack, and the two of them were flirting throughout their whole encounter. Love the fact that Ianto went about dressing up in a suit in the hopes that it would increase his chances of getting a job. It is the like the world’s most cracked up version of a prolonged interview. And oh, that streak of sarcasm and quips are just awesome.
Also, isn't it just brilliant that Ianto's gentleman's-gentleman is perhaps all an act, that beneath it he's a bit of a punk and an underachiever for most of his life. It is just BRILLIANT!
Owen – Oh, Owen, Owen, Owen; Jesus man, you really do have the short end of stick when it comes to giving your heart away. Not as bad off as Toshiko, but you are really getting close. Also, Owen in a suit is HOT! Really, really, really hot, and it is fascinating to realise that Owen probably a bright future in front of him before the shit hit the fan; love, money and a successful career. I love how even at the beginning Jack and Owen’s relationship was very father and son like.
Captain John – WORST person to ever BREAK UP with! Just BRILLIANT! The man is OBSESSIVE, PSYCHOPATHIC and down right SNEAKY! MY favourite sort.
Bestest episode of the season!

Yes, love how Ianto was so ernest, though when his face crumbled as Jack told him that he was hired. Oh, my heart! And YES! There was sparks right from the beginning. It is brilliant.
