taking a page from doctor who: a fan is something that keeps you cool! (is shot - although that definition could work in certain contexts i think XD)

my personal definition of a fan is simply someone who admires something. it has a lot of levels - you can be an obsessive fan, or a casual fan, or even a conditional fan, what. but as long as you admire something, as long as just thinking about something emotionally affects you in a way that resembles a serotonin rush, you hit the most basic level of fandom. it's easy enough to say "a fan is someone in love," but for me, "love" comes with a lot of other dimensions. fandom, however, is relevant only to admiration.

...does this even make sense, and does it even count as "positive"?
