I will blog about SPN when it finishes downloading and I get a chance to watch it. In the meantime - Merlin 105! OMFG! HOW GAY CAN THIS SERIES GET?!


LANCELOT! LANCELOT! LANCELOT! EVERYBODY LOVES LANCELOT!

ARTHUR! EEE! ARTHUR! Being all COMPETENT and DERIDING of his minions! ULTIMATE KILLING MACHINE! EEE! YES ARTHUR, you are the ULTIMATE KILLING MACHINE! The 2 fights between Arthur and Lancelot is HAWT like the burning sun! CUTE BOYS BEATING EACH OTHER UP IS HAWT! And then the PURE RESPECT BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM IS JUST OMFG!

I’m quite curious at how they are going to introduce the love between Arthur and Gwen… perhaps they may even skip it altogether. Obviously the spark of something is already there between Lancelot and Gwen, but how is it going to get to a love triangle. [BTW: The way the whole episode played out I would not be surprised that Arthur would be perfectly happy to be involved in a threesome with Lancelot].

The closed door shouting match between Arthur and Uther left me delirious with joy. I have this deep seated fascination with fucked up father-and-son relationships (not in the incestuous way), especially when the father does care... in his own way. I love how Arthur is never afraid to stand for what he believes in, and it isn't because Arthur is rebellious but it is because Arthur, when not being a prat, is an honourable man who want to do the right thing. And Uther, well, it says quite a lot about him as a father that he managed to bring up a son like Arthur who does understand right and wrong, and is willing to fight for it, even if he ends up fighting Uther.

Merlin continues to be immensely likable and NOT angsty in his magic or use of it. Don’t ever change Merlin, you are adorable and awesome.

This series makes me smile, and sometime that’s all I really want from my entertainment.
