So many different types of women, all of them with their own agency.
What struck me most about this episode was the way Derek is surrounded by women from all sides. He is trying to save four women, three of whom will save him one day, and one of whom he can’t save. And Derek need to save them, not just because they are important to humanity but because they save him in the future. Once again I’m reminded how everything must be so fucking strange for Derek, meeting people for the first time, people that he already knows.
Derek and Jesse's first meeting was ALL sort of awesome because she really did tell Derek's his fly was undone. I may have silently squeed a bit when Jesse casually dropped the fact that she crossed the FUCKING Pacific Ocean in a NUCLEAR SUBMARINE controlled by a TERMINATOR in the middle of the conversation like it was no big deal! JUST OMFG! JESSE, YOU ARE SO AWESOME, and YOU ARE GOING TO DIE, I JUST KNOW IT! Also, she is from PERTH! OMFG! WE GOT MENTIONED INSTEAD OF SYDNEY OR MELBOURNE! EEEE! And the RABBITS, YES, the FUCKING RABBITS! Because that is ALL REAL HISTORY RIGHT THERE! JESSE, YOU ARE AWESOME!
TSCC, is like the 3rd fictional text, not from Australia, that mentions PERTH! YES! PERTH! AHAHAHAHA! AND CORRECT AUSTRALIAN HISTORY!
I AM going to be CRUSHED when this show gets cancelled.

The rant was UTTERLY hilarious. The significant other and I kind of cracked up because EVERYTHING she said was TRUE, and FARMERS still BITCH about RABBITS (and Kanetoads, and cats).
Also, OMFG! I just saw the Alan and Denny bits of the series finale on youtube. OMFG! THEY GOT MARRIED! YES! YES! YES!
Seriously, I am still so pleased about that- did you see the bit where Alan told Carl he was being a good sport and Carl just looked at him and said, "look at who you married"? Because awwww, so cute, and true! I mean, everyone is annoyed because they think it's all about money but it's not! They're totally the platonic OTP (which is so strange, but I do not slash them AT ALL).

YES! I saw the Carl bit, I don't think many people realise that that Denny and Alan LOVE each other so very much. That while the money is nice, the two of them REALLY love each other and can MAKE each other happy. To have that kind of relationship is just so incredible. YES! PLATONIC LOVE FOR THE WIN! I feel no need to slash them because their relationship is so much more than the sex. They LOVE each other because they are SOUL MATES who understand and LOVE each other.
They are SOOOO AWESOME! I want to draw lovehearts with Denny + Alan in it EVERYWHERE!

But yes, it is AWESOME and I WILL CRY so very much when Fox inevitably axe the show at the end of season 2.
