CHIEF - "Oh, before we get started. What is your safe word?" OMFG! JUST OMFG! And you know, I bet the whole thing got resolved pretty fast and then Dean asked a few questions because he is curious, and Dean is strangely good at getting to know people who are, um, not the straight and narrow. Oh, gods, the CONVERSATIONS they must have had.
So, circles within circles. We are back to the allusions of brother vs. brother, causing each other's death, betrayal and regret. This is pretty much the same message they were trying to send last year before the Writer Strike happened. Which leads me to believe that we are definitely heading towards a brother v brother season finale, what I want to know is whether it will be resolved or not by next season. Either way my bigbang is so going to be joss’d.
Thing of interest - Ruby, I love this Ruby with the power of a 100,000 burning suns. I'm highly fascinated by what makes Sam so uncomfortable about using his powers, just where was it leading to before Dean re-appeared in Sam's life?
The conversation between Sam and Dean about growing old, and maybe having a life beyond this, death, hunts, and the fucking apocalypse (gods, how I want this to happen for reals). It was a painful conversation but it highlights the difference between the brothers once more. Sam wants something different, and he will do anything to get it. Dean wants something different too but he knows it isn't going to happen so why even bother trying. Also, it fascinate me to no ends how the 2 of them love each other so much but approach protecting each other from such different angles.
And OMFG! SAM LEAVES! EEEEE!
I enjoyed the episode; it was fun and there were things happening on both friends when it came to the brothers and that's what I wanted to see happen.

I really am sort of totally tempted to write this.

Yes. Ruby=awesome, more settled somehow, less bitchy.
Sam wants something different, and he will do anything to get it.
This totally took me to Stanford- I had a really clear moment where I was like: this is what Sam was really running from. Sam wants to grow old.

Exactly.
