Beyond the meta of fans and reading about yourself reading and the interesting case of the lack of a 4th wall I found this episode to be absolutely riveting.

A PROPHECY! So, Lucifer is locked away in a CAGE, ROTTING IN HIS CAGE! DOES THAT MEAN MY THEORY IS RIGHT? Is Lucifer locked away -IN- Sam, a cage of flesh and bones? So, Lilith discovered Sam is Lucifer (end of season 3 when she couldn't hurt him), and realised how much deep shit she'll be in if Lucifer ever woke up because dude she tried to off Sam (his cage and skin).

Castiel, OMFG! CASTIEL! OK! I may ADORE you!

Self-sacrifice is the Winchester deal. Oh, Sam.

The Prophet Chuck. And the Angels are dicks. A fate that horrified Chuck... he has seen the boys at their worst and at their darkest hour. The only thing I can think worse is seeing Sam and Dean trying to kill each other... or Sam being burnt alive from the inside when Lucifer escapes his cage.

I WANT To KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
