(Atobe is incredibly awesome. :D I'm glad he's not in Rikkai; he'd be so much less obviously cool.) Like Sanzo, in reverse! He's got his aggressive, selfish impulses under control, and is ready to lead his flock. (But when he beat Fuji, it looked more like an object lesson than entirely losing his cool, to me. Sort of like when Tezuka beat Ryoma the first time, or when he was all "I'm actually half going to win even when I lose; learn from this, Atobe!" in their big match. Since Tachibana has become somewhat of a better person, but Fuji is still mada mada da ne.)

Oh dear, yes; me, too. I'll read almost anything if the supposed top partner is left at a loss. (Probably even Fuji/Tezuka, but I think they'd both have to be bottoming in spirit & fact for that one.) And not just in m/m. I kind of hate the idea of Tezuka and Sanada as, like, the Ultra Top For Everyone; the one time I'm actually in favour of the yaoi convention of fixed roles is when it's, like. Tezuka being totally topped by Tomoka, or Sanada finding himself helpless in the face of someone like Eiji or Jiroh or Yuuta. :D

I figure if enough people start thinking about Jiroh/Sanada, someone will eventually write it. That's how it works, right?

(Yes, exactly! Like Orochimaru, only without the sociopathy & murderous experiments. I guess Orochimaru is the child resulting from the union between Atobe & Inui. I think that's why I liked Light more than L for so long. And why I think Rikkai wins best overall team.) Fuji is still mada mada da ne, but I think he could almost be Yukimura if he continues on with the caring thing. He could be better than Atobe, because (although Atobe is one of the two characters I have the hardest time imagining NOT going pro) Atobe isn't actually a genius tennis player.

(Assuming you're using the top=first listed thing, I'd have an easier time with it that way, too. But mostly because I have an aversion to top-Tezuka that far beats any wish I might have to see Fuji lose the upper hand.) In particular, Sanada in that role is ridiculous. I mean, dude. Yukimura. I think we all know who's in control in that relationship. :D But Tomoka is the best ever. :( I can't possibly not love her, because she's so enthusiastic and clueless and bossy and twelve years old.
