Saw Transformers: ROF. I LIKE! Much more fun than Terminator and the action sequences are much better done than Wolverine. So, my current ranking for summer blockbusters;

  • Star Trek – I love this film to bits. It made me love Kirk, and live long and prosper is the best f-off ever. SQUEE!

  • Transformers: ROF – Just fun, and OPTIMUS PRIME! OMFG! I LOVE YOU, PRIME! And BUMBLEBEE! And just so very awesome when the Autobots and the Decepticons tear into each other. I honestly didn’t mind the lack of exposition, why bother rehashing what the audience already know?

  • Wolverine – EEEE! GAMBIT! You are so pretty.

  • Terminator – INDIFFERENCE ahoy!

Waiting for the new Harry Potter film to be released, I WANTS!

Are the HP films worth watching, then?

That was basically my feeling about Wolverine, too. That and WTF Emma???. :D

Honestly, I didn't really enjoy the first 3 films, however, #4 was OK, and #5 was all sort of awesome, and #6 (the new one) makes me really excited! I found 1-3 too clunky, they tried to be completely loyal to the books, which made the films overly bloated and so very boring, but they started to cut out the unnecessary stuff from 4, and just made this awesome film in #6.

I did NOT realise it was Emma. Like, WTF? Although, young Scott made me so VERY happy! EEE!

I was going to say that I'd just have to sit through the first three anyway, but then I remembered that I've actually read those books. :D I might just start from 4, then.

Yeah, apparently! Maybe it's a different Emma with diamond skin powers? Because she seems very sweet, and also - sister? I could buy half-sister, but neither of them seem like they could have been raised by Emma's parents. (Foster sister? Emma was adopted by Silverfox's family?)

If you have read the books you will be fine. Just start from 4.

The whole sister thing thre me, and WTF is the whole thing with the Diamond skin? Someone said apparently it use to be one of her powers, which made go what? Also, I did not even think she was Silverfox because Silverfox had way cooler abilities.

The Gambit and Wolverine fight was awesome though.

Also, have you completely moved over to dw or are you still maintaining your lj account?

Have you read the Morrison/Quitely New X-Men? I think that's when the diamond skin thing pops up. It should still be one of Emma's powers - at least, most of the other stuff Morrison did is still in continuity as far as I know.

What were Silverfox's powers meant to be, outside the movie? I was just a bit WTFing because I thought she was supposed to be Native American or First Nations, and Emma's from, like, Boston, with obnoxious rich (and white) parents and siblings.

I want a Gambit movie! Between that and the Gambit one-shot comic that came out this month, I'm having a weird Gambit craving.

Kind of? I'm still reading at lj (my friends list isn't the same, and not everyone's posting the same stuff in both places - but I comment less over there because I'm permanently logged in on my other account on this browser. Should probably switch that!) & at ij, but I'm not really a cross-posting sort of person apparently. I check this one first.

Yeah, it happened kind of suddenly to Emma, and the first thing she did was go get herself valued.

YOU KNOW THE ONE, where he's fighting Megatron and Starscream and like two other Decepticons and he busts out the double blades and I was clinging to Ewan all ASONFKSJDNGKJSDNGLKJSDNGKJNSDKJGN OMG OPTIMUS!!!

I wonder what people expected it to be, I mean it is a film about GIANT ROBOTS! EEE!

In conclusion; OPTIMUS!

Oh, please, I don't even know what people are whining about. I mean there's talk of race and gender fail in this film. Well, wake up CALL! Race and gender were pretty bad failures in the first film. Megan Fox is still the hot girlfriend without much substance, there is still like only one black guy who talks and everyone else is white or as close to white as possible. The failure has always been there, I don't know people are complaining about it now. I respect people who is more annoyed at the plot (or lack of one) than those who are complaning. I mean have they seen the first film?

Also, have you completely moved over to dw or are you still maintaining your lj account?

OH MY GOD maybe this makes me a bad person but I just try and skip over all the *fail. Fandom is my happy relax place, ffs, I don't want to read stressful things about how x and y fails *facepalm*

nooooo LJ is still my primary, I just read my DW f.list more often and prior to reading my LJ f.list (mainly because it is faaar shorter) which is why all my comments are on your DW now.
