naanima: (married to stalin - i'm going to hell)
Half way through part 2 of JoJo. OMFG!!!!!!!! WTF?!!!!!!!

Jack the Ripper?! Muscles, so much muscles, and Aztec Vampires!!! I wish I had some of those ornaments. End of part 1 made me all sad and mopey. Need free time to read more, need to read more. Brain so dead at the moment, I had forgotten how hard it was to survive on 3 hours of sleep when you need to deliver speeches, count money and basically be all mature and not fun. But omfg! JoJo is so cool, oh so cool. Need more.

ETA: CAESAR! Why didn't anyone WARN me?! *cries*
ETA 2: Somewhere between volume 5 and volume 6 my brain did a complete 180. It came to the realisation that the art work for JOJO is the epitome of perfection and it is perfectly all right to measure all other manga art work against for future reference. I think it was also at that point that my brain fell into a field of acceptance. That is, I'll believe anything the series tell me, ANYTHING.
ETA 3: Araki is ruthless with his characters... *CRIES*

Yessssss!

ETA: What, we're supposed to SPOIL people now? XD I thought this was exactly the sort o' thing that we *weren't* supposed to tell people about. 0_o Let me tell you this. You are going to be wanting more warning. -_-
ETA2: Hahaha, yes, accept Jojo! Accept teh way and teh light and teh weird poses!
ETA3: Oh gods, you got that right. -_-

ETA: YEEEES! I'm a poor defenseless fangirl who fell in love with the blond-sop until I suddenly realised he wasn't a sop, and then it was TOO LATE! HOW COULD YOU?!! I'M YOUR FRIEND! *CRIES* I finished part 2, I don't think I'm going to be on speaking terms with people who a while. *BAWLS*
ETA 2: It is hard not to. I don't know if it is the beer, the music ('Strength' the X tv serries song started playing when Caesar died, and I was like 'DAMN YOU! SHUFFLE!') or the fact that Araki-sensei pwns all. I suspect it is all 3.
ETA 3: I'm HEART BROKEN! HEART BROKEN!

Started on part 3. The thing you have to realise is that I saw the 13 part OAVs first, and I"m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Jotaro can be a major dork.

Oh, so you did see part three first! But then you KNEW that Araki was *murderous* to his characters, wasn't it? It's the horribly random way he kills many of them too. A lot of them simply die without telegraphing that their mortality is imminent.

Argh, it's even worse later in the series....

But they are short and you don't get the small details that make the characters interesting. And my friend, that is -important-.

I may stop now.

Oh, they took out a lot of the details? Heh, then are you reading part 3 now?

Argh, don't stop reading! Araki turns nice in part 4 and doesn't have traumatic death!

It is shiny, the fights are cool, but little things with characters get lost. If you think about it, it isn't surprising, I mean we are talking about a condensed 13-parts version.

Aaah, then it is much diminished, because the little details in that arc are awesome.

It is the TOILETS! The SUMO conversation! The Abdul BACK from the DEAD and *koffspissingdown* the bamboo stick! It is all those DETAILS!

Just finished part 3, I think I like part 2 better. I just love Joseph, and Caesar made me all weepy. There's also the fact that part is EPIC!

YES, the TOILETS. I think Abdul kind of... changed a bit when he returned from the living. XD (It was just damn hilarious, in a sick way, how they tricked Polnareff)

Yeah, it is epic, and Joseph is such an awesome hero.

The TOILETS! How IT NEVER stops being sick and funny! *laughs* I swear Abdul came back from the dead and was like 'Well, I died and I have realised there's much I have never done before... LIKE PISS DOWN A BAMBOO WITH SOMEONE USING IT TO BREATHE!' Oh, how I adore Abdul. (OMFG! I felt so sorry for the guy, EVERY single team member was so EVIL. Though I admit Kakyouin was just EVIL!.)

There's just something about part 2 that struck a chord with me. And Joseph is awesome, he's not the most powerful but he is the most cunning... and lazy -_-;;

Yes. (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has TURNED ME INTO A TEN YR OLD BOY! ;_;) Yeah, poor Polnareff. For all of this tough guy-ism, he is the *innocent one* of the group. XDDD

Yes, with me I think it's Joseph. All of the Jojo's are awesome, but when I was reading it I really thought "damn this Araki guy *knows how to write shounen*)

Hohoho, I knew you'd love Joseph! XD Totally young dork --> old dork --> senile dork! It's so amazing that his genetics produced Jotaro, though Holly is definitely Suzie-Q's daughter.

Joseph is COOL! You're RIGHT! He's such a DORK! I'mmore amazed that Jotaro being Holly's child managed to be, well, Jotaro. Though we can always chalk it up as Jonathan's genes making a come back!

You might as well get used to it, because MORE PEOPLE WILL DIE AND THEY WILL BE YOUR FAVOURITE CHARACTERS TO BOOT. *is bitter* I weathered Caesar fairly well but I was ready to go blood feud with Araki when I hit Part 3.

Ha, I'm pretty surprised you liked Part 1. I found it pretty standard shounen fare, and it wasn't until part 2 that I became horrendously obsessed.

He may be ruthless, but he also makes them gay. For each other. And that way, they'll at least have beautiful, beautiful memories. :P

NOOOOOOO! *CRIES* I did not weather Caesar at all, I caved so badly.

I didn't like most of it, except the ending was PERFECT! Part 2 did indeed make me horrendously obsessed.

So true. XD

Hehe, the ending worked for me too. But I still like part 3 the best, because I loved the travelling antics, especially Joseph's random ejaculations of 'Oh My God!' Am so much a Joseph fan it is not funny -- I totally understand why Josuke's mom found him hot even at his grandfatherly age.

But don't you love the Stands? I admit to squeeing loudly when I saw Polnareff's Chariot go chibi and woe-be-gone. I poke you with my tiny rapier!

The ending was just so 'perfect', and I admit I have a thing for gothic-like fiction. The addition of London and Jack the Ripper made me giggle insanely, though the bits about Mary and Elizabeth was a bit 'WTF?!' I like Part 3 for all the reasons you stated, but it is just for some reason part 2 worked for me in so many ways. (It is completely understandable! Any sane woman would fall for Joseph no matter the age.)

I ♥ the STANDS! They are the BESTEST thing SINCE CHEESE! When Silver Chariot got CHANGED I was LIKE 'OMFG!!!! LOVE!!! SQUEEEE!' Though I am a bit pissed about the fact we got cheated out of seeing Jotaro as a child *pouts*.
