I'm reading 'Groundbait' and it is much too late! *finger points*. And honestly, your fics are OMFG!!!! SQUEEEEE!!! Because Tom-love is good love! *clings to you for you write Tom-fics*.

I'll attempt to be more coherent at a later date (need sleep now).

It is 12:37AM over here, and I just finished reading it about, um, 10mins ago. I want to sleep, except, you know, I'm having one of those MY BRAIN IS GOING OVERDRIVE BECAUSE THERE IS MUCH LOVE!!!! There are so many highlights to the fic, and honestly, it is like 26-parts of pure happiness. I haven't seen enough of Andrew (more like one episode) to comment on his personality (though I do love his snark). I absolutely love Harry in this because it is so him; that mix of pragmatics and a real heart (even if he don't let it rule him often.) Jools is delicious, because he is really that much of a Genius, that much of a bastard, yet I can’t help but love him for his evil-ness. I like the fact that you managed to create a plausible reason as to how Tom could take him down (or at least be able to come out of it with a draw, because Jools is too canny to lose). Furthermore, Jools is brilliant and ruthless, however, it is that ruthless, that complete disregard for human life that would be his weakness.

Tom is awesome, because you manage to combine the brilliance and the major fuck-ups that make him such a fascinating individual on the show. I just love the way you write him, because I can picture him saying the things he does, and sitting the way he do as if he is still in the series.

The only thing that threw me was the presence of nc/slash (I –love- slash & nc), it is just that I –didn’t- read the warnings and was not expecting it. I saw your name and spooks fic in the same sentence and I just clicked and kept on clicking. So, when the whole thing did became obvious my brain went “Oh, gen-fic is nc/slash fic… cool, bonus.” I think what I’m trying to say is that the fic is –really- good, and it could have been just as good with or without the slash bits (did that make sense?) because you managed to carry everything through with an underlying plot, great characterizations, and a beautiful way of reintroducing Tom back into the fold (btw: loved where Tom have been! Scotland! Fishing!!! SQUEE.)

Now I am really going to sleep.

Yay! But you deserve the squee and the love! I love the ending because it was so in touch with what the series' ending are usually like (at least based on the episodes I have seen.) Tom can only be reeled back if there is a case that needed his help, and let's just say Jools' machinations can definitely get Tom back. It is more of a case if Tom's actor is willing.
