After much internal debate (five minutes of calculating how much I'll need to cut back on spending,) permanent lj account here I come. Now to figure out how to use paypal.

But beyond that, it is all about studying for me. Not that anything is sticking. I'm so screwed.

[livejournal.com profile] inu_chan, was it ever confirmed (or hinted at) in the ROTS novel as to who is Anakin's father? The opera house was full of implied stuff. Yes, stuff.

Nope, not a peep.

Hmm. That's kind irritating. I know that one of the official releases for a SW game makes an allusion about that scene. Oh, and I'm talking about the idea of either Palpatine's or Plague-as (is that how you spell it?) being Anakin's father. I mean how much more implied subtext do we need.

Palpatine: He was so powerful that he could create life from the force.

Or something to that effect.

You know that throws a whole new angle on the Palpatine and Vader relationship *winces* Skywalkers and their habits of killing their father figures (or causing their death in one way or another.)

One piece of info the book does give is confirm suspicions that Darth Plagueis was Darth Sidious's master, meaning that Sidious was the apprentice in the story he told at the opera.

As for the idea of Anakin being created through the efforts of Darth Plagueis, that is a /very/ interesting idea. Which would mean that Anakin was created through the Dark Side, which would mean ... what?

long thoughs on the living force and the Sith
Good. I couldn't tell if Palpatine was talking about himself (as the student) or if he was implying that sooner or later the Darth Lords always falls to their student. It is nice to have the official confirmation.

But the thing is it might not have been Darth Plagueis, Palpatine did say that the 'student' was taught everything (though the film goes and contradict itself when Palpatine say that he couldn't stop Padme from dying.) So, it could be Palpatine who created Anakin. It would mean that the Sith have been plotting this for much longer than I had originally thought. See, the thing about watching ROTS the second time around was that I was able to distance myself a bit, and watch it as a part of Bigger story rather than just a stand alone. All the clues that were left in TPM and the AOTC begin to click together. So, the clones were made by someone who purposely left Order 66 in their genetic makeup (ok, this is pure assumption, no novel, but I’m going for that Order 66 was an inbuilt command that pretty much brain-washed all the clones). Being as powerful as Palpatine is (and so damn aware of everything going on), and the fact that he took an interest in Anakin –straight- away on their meeting, my brain is making a lot of connect the dot. In addition, Yoda made a comment in ROTS about them interpreting the prophecy wrong. I mean, what if Anakin wasn’t meant to bring balance to the force, what if Palpatine (or whichever Darth Lord) twitched with the prophecy, and what if Anakin was created by the Sith so that he could kill the Jedi and allow the Sith to rule again. So what then?

And my brain stops there, because in many ways it is attempting to reject the idea, because if that is the case then what was the bloody point? QuiGong goes on and on about the ‘Living Force’, the emphasis, the way he interpreted the will of the ‘Living Force’ is quite different from the way that he Jedi. So, what if Anakin was meant to fall to the Dark Side no matter what? What if that was the will of the ‘Living Force’. The Jedi are too stagnant, too set in their ways, too damn detached from what is ‘life’ perhaps even to detached from the ‘Living Force.’ So, what if Anakin was meant created for two purposes only.

1. To fall to the dark side and eradicate the Jedi
2. To be the father of Luke Skywalker

Because you know, Luke is the most fascinating characters in all of SW, he’s the one to bring balance to the force, and not his father. And once again, my brain decide to stop because it can’t seem to make up its mind on whether if it the Living Force who guided everything, or if it is the Sith, or maybe it is a bit of column A and a bit of column B.

Cool. Ah, so that's why Grievous coughs all the time. I so want to see Mace Windu's stats.

No direct answer is good, it means I can go and think about it in my head, and come to a reasonable conclusion that should leave me satisfied. Go me :D

I know what you mean. What happens if the whole thing goes under?! But you know, what if they decide to up the fees for paid accounts? Or what if they add more goodies to permanent memberships? (I know, not likely.) I just /really/ want a permanent account. I pay it in one go and hopefully don't have to worry about it for the rest of my life. I figure I'll probably be using a lj account for awhile ^^;;;

P.S. Congrats on getting all Bs this semester. Kept on forgetting to congratulate you.

Since I don't buy the extra icons slots, it works out to 6 years of paid time for me. And the only use I have for a paid account is just the extra icon slots - can't do phoneposts and don't really use poll, so... Oh, I may decide to go for it in the end, but 6 years... will I even be blogging anymore? XD;;

In other places, people would congratulate you for a semester of As, but in Singapore Us, a semesters of B is pretty okay, I guess :D;; Thanks.
