two things that doesn't appeal to me

Because maths is not making one damn sense I'm taking a break from studying it.

Just for the record: The thought of Qui Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi together. In a sexual sense creeps me out. Like really, really, really creep me out. I avoid the plethora of SW Q/O slash out there like the plague. On a completely shallow level, Laim Neeson never did, and never will do anything for me. On a pscyhological (deep psychological wank) lev- no, actually no, I don't even want to contemplete it on a deep psychological level. Let's just keep it simple, Q/O creeps me out. notice how I'm purposely avoiding making comments about other slash couples in SW. To be fair 90% of SW fics I do read are het.

Q/O creeps me out about the same level as Snape/Harry. Especially movie Snape/Harry. I'm not going to discuss it, the whole thing just makes my skin crawl. And no, this is not an attack on people who like reading the pairing, it is more of a 'The pairing doesn't appeal to me' thing. But one question (maybe I'm shallow, actually I'm pretty sure I am shallow), what is so hot (ewww) about Snape (or the guy who plays him in the films)? I mean, isn't it like an unwritten rule that yaoi/slash have to be between really hot men. After all, it is fanfiction for women.

I feel as if I keep on putting my foot in it -_-

ETA: Why is BEN BROWDER in Season 9 of STARGATE SG1?!?! JOHN CRITCHON!!!! You are hot as ever but where is your LEATHER?!! My brain CAN'T handle this. Shit, now I have start rewatching SG1 again. Uhh, [livejournal.com profile] nekomancy, don't suppose you still have all of SG1. I haven't watched the last, oh 4 to 5 seasons of SG1 -_-;;

ETA 2: And CLAUDIA BLACK might be GUEST STARRING!!!! jesusmaryandjoesoph! OMFGBBQ!! OMFGBBQ!!!!! AERYN and JOHN in ANOTHER UNIVERSE!! Alternate DIMENSIONS! Yes, I can see that! YES! What are you talking about?! Of course it is JOHN CRITCHON and AERYN SUN! NOOOO! They are JOHN and AERYN! I don't know what you are talking about!! *dies a happy fangirl death*

I avoid SW slash like the plague. It's along the same thinking as LOTR slash -- it's not in the story, to portray the characters in that light is completely OOC and the author/creator would be absolutely horrified and I CAN'T SEE IT, PERIOD.

Sweetie, I knew that was exactly what you were going to say. Like I said 90% of the time I'm all NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! to SW slash, but the other 10%... ah yeah .

As for LOTR, you have to make the distinction between the films and the books. Sure both of them are LOTR but the differences make them different. And I have to set my mind in that particular mind-set.

*giggles*

Alan Rickman? For me, its all about the voice. The slightly haughty and derisive and very sexy British voice. As for him as Snape...he has presence. I've adored him in the role since the first time I saw him sweep into the Potions classroom.

Mmm, the voice. The attitude. The pose. And I happen to like slightly unusual and strong features... (Cheekbones, especially, as a general thing.) Abe Lincoln would probably have made me go squee quietly. O:>

And then I go over and squee at Bishonen.

Exactly! Thing is, what I find attractive about Alan Rickman isn't really what I find attractive in, say, an anime character. He has that great voice and attitude, as you say, so for me at least the personality is half his personality and half his interesting face.

He's not pretty, but he's sexy.

And Lincoln had great cheekbones XD

*the ATTRACTION is half the personality and half his interesting face. Clearly should not be multitasking today.

Man. Snape--that actor is really not hot. And I say this as someone who thinks Maggie Smith is kinda hot. :D One of my friends had a crush on Snape from the movies, and I made fun of her every time it came up, until it came out that the reason she liked him was the way his robes were buttoned all the way up like that. (I still read Snape slash, but I think that even Dumbledore is sexier. At least he isn't greasy. And I bet Dumbledore's underpants are white.)

neko just returned the first 7.5 seasons of SG1 back to Stu, but I'm sure I can get him to loan it again. I've currently got last half of Season 8 & SGA.

I'm not really into the Q/O slash either, actually. It doesn't creep me out, but I don't really think of it because their relationship is very teacher-studentish. Maybe when they're out of that phase, but yeah, I don't really see it either.

Ditto Snape/Harry.

Btw, have you watched Stargate Atlantis?
