Being stuck in Singapore without a local iTunes portal means I miss out on this. Alas!

Also, I must confess to being slightly wary of torrenting stuff these days. I currently only torrent 'Heroes' and plan to start torrenting 'Supernatural' once the new season starts (still only at episode 2x13!). As long as the authorities don't get wise to me... but neither am I willing to push my luck.

Fandom, you are going to kill me painfully one day.

Local iTunes portal? The concept confuse me. All I did was click on the link, it took me directly to the iTunes store with SPN s3 premiere. I click, it works, except my speed sucks and I'm 2 gigs away from blowing my downloading limit.

I only realised how badly Singapore regulate their internet download yesterday. We can blame the anime people.

Fandom is insane.

That aspect should be invisible to you, since there is an Australian portal for iTunes. You probably downloaded the localised version of iTunes when you first started out so there's no problem for you. Singapore on the other hand has often been considered too small a market for the Big Boys to pay much attention to.

I'm starting to develop a burning... feeling towards the anime community. You broke the law - stop trying to argue that you have the rights to download an unlicensed anime series because as far as the rest of the world is concerned, that is a fan-side agreement and no company has ever agreed to let you do this.

Here's crossing my fingers that I don't get busted for downloading 'Heroes' and 'Supernatural'. But if it's any comfort to the authorities, I will be catching both series on cable once they air.

Stop flashing Jensen icons at me - you're tempting my girly heart *makes grabby motions at him* XD;;

I think I have a man-sized crush on Jensen (along with Dean). I must exorcise this demon! Come on, Avium, surely you're not going to join the deranged fangirls on the public forums and declare your intentions to snag this very fine piece of meat for yourself...

Ah, that would make sense. I was rather confused when people kept on making comments about the not being able ti download the ep because of a lack of iTunes store.

Agreed! It is the sense of entitlement - no, people are not entitled to something just because it is more convenient for them. I'm perfectly happy purchasing series/movies that I enjoy. Mostly I download for taster purposes (and the fact I can't stand commercial breaks), then I wait for the official DVD release, and then I buy it!

Well, having the official copy would help your argument.

But Jensen is so PRETTY! *POINTS TO ICON!* I have big girly crush on him.

He is indeed fine. Surely you will not stop to viewing his, um, physical attributes. The man is nicely packaged and oh so pretty.

All I can say is Apple is missing out on a prime market, whats with Singapore having one of the highest proliferation rates of broadband for a nation in the world. But Singaporeans are cheapskates and probably all download their stuff illegally anyway!

Once upon a time, I couldn't fathom the idea of buying a TV series on a DVD because once you watch it, you've watched it, ya know? And if you want to re-watch it you usually have to go through hours of it rather than 2.5 hours with a movie. But I'm starting to see the light with series like 'Heroes' that provide hilarious episode commentaries and 'Supernatural' with the crazy brotherly relationship LOVE. Still, I am feeling cheap and don't want to buy S2 of Supernatural on DVD. Not until the price falls around the time for the release of S3 on DVD at any rate. I am such a cheapskate :D

Goddammit, I know he's so very fine. Those lips, baby, those LIPS. But it only makes my heart all achy-breaky knowing that I can never score someone as fine as this in RL, not even if that someone isn't him. Jensen is pushing my standards for a boyfriend really off the charts, and when I die old and lonely I am going to come back and blame him!

Exactly. You guys have awesome infrastructure. I don't know, it is like 0.99 cents, I would buy that.

I love DVDs. No commercial breaks, no edits for public viewing purposes, better quality, and I admit that the boxes makes me ridiculously happy. I don't buy DVDs at fall price, like everything DVD goes through phases where it is really cheap - DVDs had gone from $79 to $29, I often wait until it falls to the latter pricing before I buy.

LIPS! YES! Oh, and DON'T forget the EYELASHES! Those gorgeous eyes and lashes! And the FRECKLES! See, I wouldn't want to date Jensen because he's truly too good looking. However, voyeurism is awesome.

I want the instant gratification of a downloaded episode, but I don't want to pay for it AND a DVD boxset. That's my way of arguing for free downloads now, a paid-for boxset later. Though, I highly doubt the authorities will agree with my view!

DVD boxsets indeed experience a dip in prices later. Take Smallville for example - all the previous seasons except for the one released this year all fell to US$24.99 on Amazon. The lesson here that retailers are inevitably teaching us is: hang on for a year and you'll pay less than 50% of the RRP!

This is the man who introduced to me the awesomeness that is freckles. Who knew freckles can be so cute? And man, but you're so right. Who wants to date someone as gorgeous as him? The competition will be intense and you'll never be able to relax for every day that he looks pretty because you're worrying that some vamp is going to get her hands on him. Clearly, I am putting too much thought into this. But I must convince myself soon that I don't want Jensen, or my brain will go to mush and my heart will shatter into a million shards when he announces he is getting hitched.

... What? I embrace fandom and its actors passionately :D;; I should go read enough Sam/Dean p0rn to convince myself that these 2 are made for each other and no girls will ever come between them.

I like the way you think. The only way I would pay for the boxset is if I had downloaded the series for free first!

I had DVD boxsets drop by 70%, which believe me, made a very happy little fangirl. Though it also amde me scream at the heavens because I had bought one Farscape boxset for $80, only to have it drop to $39. But it was WORTH it and I'm sticking by my buy.

He works those freckles. I don't particularly like the tanned look of Dean because it hides the AWESOMENESS of those beautiful freckles. Also, Jensen is so pale and I have this thing for pale people in general, I blame this on the whole Chinese brain washing of what beauty is (skinny like a twig and white as a sheet). Moving one - yes, the competition would be cut-throat, and you would be devastated if he gets stolen by some random bitch. However, watching him makes me happy enough (I admit I'm more of a 'Ohhhh! J2 is IN LOVE!!!' rather than 'OHHH, I would like to date him!')

The actors in fandom is truly awesome - apparently Sera Gamble calls the SPN the Great Romance of Sam and Dean (or something like it). She jokes by saying it makes Kripke twitch when she call the show that, but we ALL know she really meant it! As far as I'm concerned it is ALL about Sam/Dean! Though I admit I was very happy for Sam and the werewolf chick (she was hot). And I would be EXTREMELY happy if Dean had got it on with the Crossroad demon! HEHEHEHE!

... Of course, you and XS joined forces to tempt me into the world that is 'Supernatural' and I just bent over and bought the S1 boxset without having seen a single episode of it in my entire life. I blame you, woman.

On another note, I totally can't get into mullet rock :D;;

I've to agree with you on the dislike for the tanned look, though my reasoning is more of - "unless you are blue collar, a tanned look just means you are vain and boring (for spending so much time in the sun)." Pale is okay as long as you don't mean pasty white XD;; I'm headed slightly against the Asian ideal in that I like my guys with some toned meat on them - not some skinny little twink types because, gross.

I think I'll get over the "I'm going to snag this very fine guy for myself!" stage once I settle into a regular BGR. Not dating for 7 years at the prime of your child-bearing years can do this to you!

The Great Romance of Sam and Dean - AWESOME. I love it when the creative team gets into the crack with us. This fandom is amazing, with what I've seen of the Plastic!Winchesters, the postcard project, etc. I've honestly never been in a fandom with such an active fanbase before. Sure, the 'Heroes' cast and creative team love to feed us slashy crack, but the fandom just isn't as active on the give-back, ya know?

I think you just spoilt 'Heart' for me, dammit XD;; I've not seen it yet, but I do know Sam gets it on with some chick. Personally I don't really like sex scenes on TV or in the theatres, if just for the fact that I am constantly aware that "they're acting" and it bothers me that people reduce such a beautiful thing into a pale imitation of what it really is about - 2 people connecting on a level that is not possible in any other way. Plus, it's pretty rare that the actor/actress doing it have enough chemistry to not come off as faking it. Sure, it's nice and steamy and it feeds the fangirls like crazy, especially the ones who like to visualise themselves in the role of the lucky lady. But it never really works for me. I think it's safe to say I'm adhering to the Scorpio stereotype of SEX = RELIGION.

... Boy I just sprouted a whole lot of bullcrap :D;;

Still, watching Sam and Dean get it on it hot. I mean, with other chicks. What did you think I was implying? I was not implying Wincest. No way. No siree.

I'm happy to be blamed. Blame away ^__^V.

I'm loving the mullet rock (next to my K-pop, which makes an interesting read).

Not dating for 7 years at the prime of your child-bearing years can do this to you! I see where you are coming from.

SPN fandom is amazing in its productivity and loving their show. Fans of SPN love the show with an passion of a 1000s burning sun. It is actually really impressive. You are right, I have never seen a fandom embrace a show to this extent, the whole thing is awesome.

OMFG! I'm sorry! I thought you have reached the ep already. You need to watch more of it. I love well created sex scenes. Porn does nothing to me, but artsy sex things makes me happy for some reason. Either way - if the SPN production team ever decide to produce porn I would buy! Also, I don't tend to imagine myself in the sex scene, my brain just doesn't see it that way - to me it is just two really attractive people having much NICE/HOT looking sex, which is AWESOME! I was burn on a cusp day (Scorpio and Sagittarius), this makes me strange at times.

It is OK, it was very amusing bullcrap.

Mmmm. Yummy Wincest. I'd watch that. Hell, I'd watch them get on with chicks. They are hot.

The only things that makes me sad about this fandom is the constantly looming threat of cancellation in the air. It's such a nice, active, giving fandom and it is in danger of being wiped out at any given moment. It's enough to make a fangirl be wary about giving all her heart to this fandom! Here's hoping that all the fan participation in the various fan projects will send out good, strong vibes for renewals.

I'm kinda lingering on watching the S2 episodes of SPN for some reason or another. I think I've just been feeling a little morose. A consistent spell of being unable to draw does that to me. And I do so want to draw Dean & Sam!

LOL - if the SPN cast and crew ever get behind the idea of making a p0rno episode/movie, they'd have set a whole new standard for all Hot TV Shows to do that. The fact that they're sitting on tame!CW doesn't help our fantasies much, but Kripke probably does his best to give us a bit of a skin show every season! (I've totally been unable to convince myself to take down my towel!Sam wallpaper.)

I can't relate to fangirls who like to imagine themselves as the girls that the actors are romancing. It just seems so odd. Well, more power to them for their ability to visualise, I suppose.

Did you see the director's cut clips for the S3x01 episode? Where Dean managed to get some action with twins but they totally cheated us fangirls out of the eyecandy? Dammit. But they gave us a scene of Sam stumbling upon the scene and going "Oh, God" anyway XD;;
