Twilight - It is hormones, I tell you.

So, Twilight, the film, not the book, I kind of really want to see it, call it morbid curiosity. I have been reading too much Robert Pattinson interviews, the result? I want to pat the boy on the head and feed him cookies. Oh gods, the clucky-ness will not leave. It just that he obviously didn't realise what he was signing up for, and now is coming across as really freaked out and dazed by the female fans; the insane mob of female stalkers. My mothering instincts are coming out full force.

Uh-hum. So, um, yeah. *EMBARRASSED*.

Oh, I'm way more excited about that one, especially if what you say is true. I mean, oh my god, Salvador Dali!! :D Maybe I'll rent it with Frida when it's out on DVD and have an art movie night. Horribly tragic & fucks them up terribly sounds like what I've heard of Twilight too, though; I hope Cedric Diggory hasn't got himself typecast. ;)

Oh gods, was never about the exact details but Dali had a friend called Garcia Lorca (I think), you know, the poet. Lorca was gay and there are HUGE implications that he had this MAJOR crush on Dali, and people are never sure whether it was one sided or not (rumours state a long tragic affair), but they were great friends and than not when they had several blow outs over Lorca's, um, feelings and it got all horribly messy (actully I think their friendship ended when Dali met his wife).

And I REALLY want to see the film.

Sounds awesome! Like, actually cool. I of course remember Garcia Lorca (I think both are his last names? Like Gabriel Garcia Marquez) vaguely from high school S. Amer. history, but had no idea he had a big gay crush on Dali, and am now even more interested in this movie than I was originally. (I hope it's good!)

And I hope the pressure to read Twilight dies down after the movie. :D

Yep, both are last names. Well, I suppose it make sense, he did get killed by the Fascists (I think). But yes, he was so gay for Dali, I mean I remember reading about Dali fending off Garcia Lorca's 'erotic' advances. Let me tell you that made me far more interested in Dali than I would have normally.

I have HIGH hopes for this film, but I think I'm going to watch it with much ice cream and other comfort food.

The good thing is I feel not pressure to read Twilight (I tried it awhile ago and 3 pages later I had to put the book down or fork my own eyes out. It was so bad.)
