Today has been a novel experience of working while doped on prescribed cold medication. I was completely floozy from 7AM till, while now.

So, I have thought about this, like very, very, very seriously, and I have come to the conclusion that Tom Quinn is a really bad spy, like the WORST SPY EVER! But you know what? I still love him to bits.

+ He got ATTACHED when he SHOULDN’T have!
+ He is a thing of AWESOMENESS when he tries!
+ He has MORALS! And while I know it is right to choose one over the many (save more lives, etc.,), I am one of those people who TRULY WANT to BELIEVE in a ideologist, because I’m not one myself.
+ He gets hurts ALL the time! This makes me particularly happy, h/c!
+ He sucks at relationships! Even if he tries and tries and tries some more.
+ I still believe that he chose to leave MI-5, not just got kicked out, but actively sought a chance to leave, and not in a body bag, or when he’s so fucked up in the head that they wouldn’t have been a point.
+ It is the combination of strength and vulnerability. I am a sucker for certain type of man in fiction. Tom Quinn hits all the buttons.
+ He’s BRITISH!
+ He’s NOT the American-movie star attractive, he just appeals to me.

It has been a very long time since I have had a girly-crush on a 3d fictional character. I never found Angel attractive (it is the truth), and John was so obviously MEANT to be with Aeryn that it never even entered my head to think of him without the latter. The last male fictional character I found hot was Aragorn… he was cool.

The funny thing is I feel nothing for the actual actors themselves. No sexual attraction at all, probably why I’m not too fussed if I don’t or do watch films/television series they star in. It is the characters they PORTRAY that appeals to me, and Tom Quinn hits every button that a fictional male character need to hit to appeal to me.

This is rather strange.

Now I need to go and buy Season 1.

It is like Tom Quinn -needs- to justify everything he does, if not to himself then to the people he cares for (puts in danger). In a way it is almost the coward's way out because Tom has a conscience and it tends to waken at the most inappropriate time (everytime he does something that he know is morally wrong), and if he can't forgive himself he'll get someone else too. I think by the time he left MI-5, Tom may have found some form of peace, and I really hope that Christine and him (man, people seem to hate her) did somehow ends up together again.

Except realistically speaking, Christine probably hates his guts on some level.
