Anti-Sasuke feelings makes me all GrrGrr (mindless gaara and neji love makes me want to pull my hair out, but only in context with the anti-sasuke thing. As far as I'm concerned the latter two are about the same level on the Ol' Bastard scale as Sasuke (adore them for those reasons). People are willing to give a mass-murderer and a down-right prick second chances but nooooo second chances for the kid whose family got massacred by the person he loves most in the world. No double standards at all. All sarcasm meant). Will shut up now (Teh ICON speaks for ME!), will be polite and nice and not argue because I tend to get too invovled. YES! BE HAPPY! SPREAD the JOY! Read MORE gay PRON! PRETEND the Maths exam is NOT going to happen this week so ded! Join the NINJA!Pirates!!! Seriously, whose with me?!! Let's ALL join the NINJA!Pirates! Hey, Tsunade is a doctor, not a nurse, although there is the female white mage stereotype. I just don't know, actually, why people have all this Naruto chara hate. Maybe it's the strong fanboy who would beat whom contingent? But then you get fangirls saying the same things. Hmmm. But then I get the feeling that Kubo Tite is much better at manipulating the audience than Kishimoto.

Light: I guess Light is not supposed to be liked, but just found entertaining. Same with Misa.

What got me to giggle yesterday was after venting about the female stereotyping of Women=Healer/Doctor/Nurse, dad was like 'But all the -Great- Doctors in Ancient Chinese Novels were men." And I was like, oh yeah -_-;; Nothing put me in persepective than dad poking holes at my logic. The whole outpouring of character hate from 'Naruto' is just strange, I really don't remember this much chara-hate (at a plural base) from other series but then I'm reminded of GW, however, GW was more the Relena hate than anything else.

Light is entertaining, he hs no other morals except those of his own, God-Complex at it is best (or worst), and Misa is jsut COOL! Adores!

Oh yes, ancient Chinese novels. Like Hua Tuo from 3K. Meets a rather sticky end, but has so far seemed pretty amusing in Ravages of Time.

GW, though, was only Relena, and that was in a shippy context (and we all know shippers have a tendency to be nutbars). The weird thing about the Naruto chara hate is that it all comes from a non shipper context.

I guess it is that we're not told to like Light or admire him or feel sorry for him. Same with Misa. (Although at parts I do feel sorry for her, though she is actually not trying for our sympathy)

It was definitely a ship-thing, and wow, the plethora of anti-this or that site that popped out from GW will forever be imprinted in my mind. And I don't understand why, what is it with 'Naruto' that it can generate such an amount of 'anti' feelings that have nothing to do with pairings.

I look at Light and... I'm rather indifferent. It isn't so much Light as the chase, the plot, and what will happen next that drives me into reading DN.

Well, GWing fandom was a perfect storm of psychosis. I think with Naruto it is partially the fanboyism, but I asked this question in my journal so hopefully others may have some insight.

Well, at least Light is nice to look at. Nowadays I'm getting sort of disillusioned with DN.
