Behind on everything. Finally got honest enough with myself to admit I'm not happy. Depressed seem too strong a word but we'll see.

Finally read DN 60. I have no coherent thought except that the mangaka have gotta stop digging into the hidden depths of my kinks. But d00d, those shorts! And so 'Village of the Damned'.

[EDIT: So, fanfiction is your ex, RPS (or *koffsshotacon*koffs*) is the one you're having an affair with, but who are you currently seeing?]

[EDIT 2: I refuse to feel guilty about skipping the corporations law lecture when I have been doing nothing but law tutorial preparation since 8.30am]

[EDIT 3: Go and take [livejournal.com profile] petronia's poll. It is highly amusing. I want to live in [livejournal.com profile] petronia and [livejournal.com profile] worldserpent's lj.]

[EDIT 4: Well, I failed my Finance Principles mid-semester, which is worth 40% of the whole unit. There goes any attempt at keeping my average. I'm strangely not depressed about this. In fact I'm angry, screw this I'm going to complain to get that 2.5%. The f*#king bastard.]

I have been thinking about this for a few days now, and I'm still at the same conclusion. I can't wait for DN 60 to come out. On re-reading DN 59 I'm once more struck by Misa's brilliance (idiot savant is still brilliant, so there.)

It isn't that bad.

Though, I'm having way too much MPD Psycho flashes for my own liking.

Hey, maybe L can be Amamiya, Light can be Tetora, and Misa is Miwa >_>

The crack will not stop.

This have gone beyond silly. I need a job. Yes, I know I say this every few months or so, but dammit I'm serious this time. I'm going to get a job this semester even if I have to do something drastic like actually give a damn about my hair. I have TWO free days. TWO! Duriing those two free days I can actually buckle down and get a damn job. I don't need to be paid much, all I'm aiming for is maybe $100.00 a week. This is so I can feel like I'm not just wasting air and space.

I'm 23 this year. ARGHHH!

On other news, I need to wait till 2:30pm to get this enrolment screw up cleaned up.

[EDIT: 'NARUTO': OMFG! The series has confirmed all my fears. Kishimoto read BAD fanfiction. NOT 248.]

[EDIT 2: d00d! I have been rejected twice today on the job front. Rather than finding this discouraging I'm sorta amused. Two down, five more to go, and then I'll get stressed.]

DN 55... and stuff.

So, I caught up to Death Note (sort of, let's just say I read #55 and few other chapters). There really is nothing to say than L and Raito's (sorry, 'Light') genius is -really- scary, and from the way things are going the series seem to be winding down. I don't want the series to end, even though it would be good for the story if it end when it should (will not think about Hikaru no Go). But if this series does end in 8 (or 9) volumes I'm gonna be damn impressed. I don't remember any popular Shounen title ending before volume 20.

So, #55 )

My PERFECT ending for this series would be L, Raito and Misa walking into the sunset (well skipping into the sunset, but I'll take walking). But it will NEVER be. NEVER! cries*

a few endings I can see happeneing )

yakitate!! japan

Alive, just no real fandom related talk except for the re-reading of Hikaru no Go, which hurt, because my brain can only handle so much Chinese without the aid of my Chinese to English dictionary, and a little manga called Yakitate!! Japan. I have made a five volume skirmish into the series, which is beyond my normal experience. There's crack like PoT, there's mind!fuck like Death Note but very few manga is so completely over the bend as Yakitate!! Japan. The tempo to this series is really fast, and this is quite important considering this series is about bread making.

I'm also terribly smitten with most of the cast. The female cast isn't annoying (competent, manipulative, down right evil, but not annoying or stupid), Tsukino makes a really cool female lead; ambitious, competent and NOT in love with any of the male characters. It is ALL about the bread making! Furthermore, I am convinced that Kuroyanagi is into S&M, and had a long love affair with Shigeru, which probably ended horribly when Shigeru professed he finds mold much more sexy and is really his life long love. But that doesn't mean Shigeru can't still mess with Kuroyanagi's mind, he's an evil genius after all.

[livejournal.com profile] hissori_danko has a much better summary of the series up here.
naanima: (what is this)
Hmm, this issue bring up some really interesting points about the Sharingan. I'm still under the firm belief that the Magenkyou can only be performed when an individual has two working Sharingan eyes and is an Uchiha. The former because the Magenkyou seem to relate to how many dots each Sharingan eye can generate the latter because I doubt someone who is not a Uchiha can survive the output of Chakra to the Sharingan. The Uchiha, for lack of a better word, seem to be made to wield the Sharingan. Their bodies (or at least their eyes) seem to be able to stand the generated Chakra without too many detriments (unlike Kakashi whose body need much rest after using the Sharingan. Sasuke had used it for much longer periods of time without needing prolonged bed rest.) Though this brings up the interesting point of Itachi, I'm sure at on point someone made the remark that using the Sharingan (or was it the Magenkyou?) plays havoc on ones health.

See, this is when I wish I know more about genetics.

g-defend, GB, aishiteruze baby and KH

[livejournal.com profile] amei, d00d, you rock. Much love, beer and tissues.

I'm so behind on all my shounen reading (GB is different, one day I might even attempt to explain it but today is not that day). I have come to the realisation, actually I have realised this awhile back but never actually verbalised. Anyways, the realisation: I'm following Naruto not because it is a kick arse story or because I have an urge to see what happens next or even to see how the characters turns out. I'm reading Naruto for the sole purpose of keeping up with good Naruto fanfiction. This says quite a bit about both the series and about myself, neither of which I feel comfortable in thinking to deeply on. (This is to say, I'm a fanfiction whore, and it is sort of sad that K-sensei have this awesome cast of characters and a semi interesting plot, and the only reason I'm following the series is because of fanfiction. No chemistry or at least not enough to keep me interested. In hindsight, the only time Naruto made me really interested was when Orochmaru first appeared, during the fight between Neji and Hinata, and the conclusion of Naruto chasing Sasuke.)

G-Defend is ghei, ghei, ghei, ghei, GHEI!

[livejournal.com profile] perseid, the series is such brainless fluff, not terribly funny, not terribly heart wrenching (just addictive.) Shame on you. (I need more. More I tell you.)

Need to re-read the rest of Get Backers, the Card arc is still the most amusing. Ban in a CLAMP get up (all flowing robes and bizarre hats) and doing the kissing is an experience worth re-visisting.

Something I forgot to mention. [livejournal.com profile] nekomancy, you probably would like to know that I sat through ALL 26 episodes of AishiteruZe Baby in a day. It was an experience that should not be repeated. Like all shoujo it is damn addictive, and the dodgy aspects of the series disappeared after the first few episodes (thank the gods). I found myself liking every character though I admit the younger brother is just PERFECT! 'I am the Prince of Darkness' indeed.

On the gaming front: Kingdom Hearts is cool. I continue to kick arse. Either this game is easier than I thought or it is somehow clicking with me on every level possible.

Got this from [livejournal.com profile] worldserpent

1. When did you first "friend" me?
2. Why did you first "friend" me?
3. What posts of mine do you like to read the best?
4. What would you like me to write about that I don't?
5. Do you think we would be friends in real life?
6. How often do you read my journal?
7. What do we have in common?
8. Will you post this in your journal too?
9. Do I actually resemble any character from your fandoms in your eyes?

....

So, TSUBASA!

I love you CLAMP! Transgender Epic Love of Doom and Gloom )

I adore Tsubasa, I love the plot, I love the characters, and I absolutely love the art style. It is clean, sharp and the high contrast is perfect. I’m so happy, so, so, so happy. The plot is huge, and the amount of characters that I recognise, know and love is mind boggling. But oh, how I love the hints, the parallels and all those new worlds. Thousands of possibilities, pathways and all the ‘happy endings’ that can be imagined, I refuse to contemplate the angst.

(And I aced the Contract Law exam, I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting a Distinction, the question is if I can get pass the 80% mark. Now, if I can pull off 78% in next Monday’s exam I will be able to keep my current course average. Need to keep a 75% average. Back to study.)

Naruto 237... hmm, actually saw that one coming.

What do you mean Sasuke?... Jiriya need to get hit, and 'Let's do the Time Warp Again! )

If you think about it Orochimaru would make a really good Dr. Frank-N-Furter. I can practically see him saying, "a sweet transvestite from Transsexual Transylvania," and my brain keep on whispering to me that Sasuke would make a good Janet.

I confess, I just want to see them do the 'Time Warp Again'.

DN 40: L can tie a cherry stem into a knot with his tongue!

DN 41: KIRA!Raito? L! Why are you crawling over Raito... ignore me, continue on with what you were doing. Misa, you are forever fated to be stalked by men with strange hair.

There's plot. Honest. I just don't have the energy to figure it out. Too tired. Thus, the short, fangirl version.

So, I hear the Battle is Over in Naruto. The question is should I attempt to find out the result. Hmm.

*goes to sleep*

DN: 39 (?)

naanima: (relaxing)

So, DN 39, things get moving, people are introduced, plot gets underway... but ALL I can think about is L with his hand over Raito's shoulder!

(I'm a FANGRRL. Deal with it.)

Uni is eating me alive, I have gained weight (fast food, ice cream and sugar) but I don't care. I'm hungry, stressed, and have been awake for over 35+ hours. Two mid-terms down, two to go, and need to prepare for tutorials.

But that's almost inconsequential in the face of the UKE!Raito vibes.

naanima: (nicotine)
DN 38. This series make me love it more AND more each week. Raito shows us his temper, L shows us his moves. Really good kick. Does anyone know what sort of martial art L did, or was it just something random that he picked up? Anyways, L had the most disgruntled look in this chapter. His cheeks seem to bulge out more than usual when he is stuffing his face full of cake. Actually, he remind me of a chipmunk. Don't ask.

But dude, Raito can do the throw really well, and L's kick! OMFG! L's KICK!

Their choice of fighting style does say a lot about their personality, even if the fight did deteriorate into a punch up -_-;; Hmm, maybe I should stop analysing it, but I CAN'T help it. NOT when Raito is a close body contact type of fighter, and L is teh long range type. It says a lot. It -really- does. Or the fact that L eventually get annoyed enough to get into close contact and attempt to punch Raito's face in ^^;; It's sort of cute.

I have read way too much shounen fight series NOT to analyse a character's fighting style (and the psych text books about body language doesn't hurt). It's fascinating. Now, if L suddenly pick up some sort of long range weapon, and Raito picks up some form of magical gauntlet, we can have DEATHNOTE: SHOUNEN FIGHT SERIES!

Oh. The mind bleed.

Okies, off to edit Mkt. Plan, and then SLEEP!
